- Pristine Holographic: Everything the Regular version has, plus the player's name printed in a stylized signature font beneath the portrait. This version is reserved for cards rated 88 or higher.
Each eligible card only ever gets one Holographic version, either Regular or Pristine, so there's no pair to collect for the same item.
Regular vs. Pristine Holographic: what's the difference?
The rating threshold is the fastest way to tell them apart. Pull a special card rated 87 or lower and you'll get a Regular Holographic with the foil glow around the card frame. Pull one rated 88 or above and it becomes a Pristine Holographic, adding the stylized name under the portrait on top of the foil effect.

Pack pulls
Holographic cards can drop from any pack that contains an eligible special item. The odds aren't published by EA Sports, but based on early community data they're genuinely rare. Team of the Week Holographic cards appear to surface more frequently than other types, though that's likely because TOTW cards themselves are the most common special item in packs rather than any difference in Holographic odds specifically.
Holographic cards come in both tradable and untradable forms. Tradable versions carry a significant premium on the Transfer Market. This is the only confirmed method to earn Holographic cards without relying on pack luck. Reaching specific FUT Gallery Level thresholds awards Player Picks for Holographic cards:
- Gallery Level 10: Player Pick for a Holographic Base Hero
- Gallery Level 15: Player Pick for a Holographic Icon
- Gallery Level 20: Player Pick for an 88+ Holographic Hero
- Gallery Level 25: Player Pick for a 92+ Holographic Icon
These are the only guaranteed sources confirmed at launch. EA may add Holographic cards to Objectives and SBCs as the year progresses, but nothing has been announced yet.

The current database sits at 303 Holographic items total, split across 173 Pristine and 130 Regular versions. Breaking that down by card type:
