Qiqi has picked up some useful changes in Genshin Impact, giving the 5-Star Cryo Sword character a more defined role in the current meta. She is still a strong healer, but her updated kit now gives her extra value in teams that rely on Stellar-Conduct.
Her new effects also improve her Energy generation, healing support, and overall utility. Here's how to build Qiqi and where she fits best.
Qiqi works best as a Cryo support and healer who can also boost certain reaction damage.
Her Elemental Skill summons the Herald of Frost, which follows the active character, applies Cryo, and provides healing. Her Elemental Burst applies the Fortune-Preserving Talisman, allowing attacks against marked enemies to restore HP.
Her biggest new contribution comes from Seven Sacred Treasures. While the Herald of Frost is active, party members receive a 50% increase to Superconduct, Stellar-Conduct, and Cryo Swirl Reaction DMG.
That makes Qiqi much more useful in teams built around these reactions.
Qiqi summons the Herald of Frost, dealing Cryo DMG and creating a healing effect that follows the active character.
The Herald of Frost can also perform coordinated Cryo attacks when the active character hits an opponent. The skill does not generate Elemental Particles, but its healing makes it the most important part of Qiqi's kit.
Qiqi releases her adeptus power and marks nearby enemies with a Fortune-Preserving Talisman.
When an enemy carrying the talisman takes damage, the character dealing that damage is healed. The Burst also deals Cryo DMG and, with its Stellar-Conduct effect, adds an extra instance of Cryo DMG that counts as Stellar-Conduct DMG.

Favonius Sword is one of the best general support weapons for Qiqi. The Energy Recharge helps with her expensive Burst, while its passive can generate Elemental Particles for the team. Qiqi should have some CRIT Rate when using it so she can trigger the passive more reliably.
Freedom-Sworn is another strong support option. Its passive provides team buffs to Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks along with an ATK increase when its conditions are met. It is most effective when the team can consistently trigger its passive.
If neither weapon is available, Qiqi can use swords with ATK or Energy Recharge. She does not need a highly specialized weapon to perform her main support role.

Tenacity of the Millelith is a solid choice for a support-focused Qiqi. Its team ATK buff fits her role well, and Qiqi's Herald of Frost makes it easy to maintain the set's effect.
Noblesse Oblige is a viable alternative if Qiqi can use her Burst regularly. It grants the team an ATK buff after she uses her Elemental Burst. For a straightforward support build, Tenacity of the Millelith is generally the easier option to maintain.
Qiqi's healing scales from ATK, so ATK% is the most straightforward way to build her.

Energy Recharge becomes more useful if Qiqi needs to use her Burst more often. CRIT Rate is mainly worth prioritizing when using Favonius Sword.

Qiqi's new role is most noticeable in Stellar-Conduct teams. She can apply Cryo, provide healing, and increase the team's reaction damage without taking much field time. This makes her a useful option when a team needs both sustain and reaction support.
She pairs well with Electro characters that can take advantage of Stellar-Conduct. The general setup is straightforward: Qiqi provides Cryo application and healing while the team's main damage dealers trigger the boosted reactions.
Her value is especially noticeable when the team would otherwise need separate characters for healing and reaction support.
Qiqi is still primarily a healer, but her updated kit gives her a much clearer niche. The combination of Cryo application, healing, and a 50% reaction damage increase makes her particularly useful in Stellar-Conduct teams. Her constellations can push that support even further, with C6 adding another source of Stellar-Conduct damage.
For players who already have Qiqi and are building around these reactions, she is worth considering. A simple Favonius Sword paired with Tenacity of the Millelith is enough to turn her into a capable support without requiring a complicated build.
