Marvel Rivals and Discord have teamed up on something genuinely useful for Nitro subscribers: a way to spend Discord Orbs directly on in-game skins and battle passes without touching your credit card. The catch is that it's a limited-time beta experiment, and not every Nitro user gets access automatically. Here's everything you need to know about how it works, who qualifies, and what you can actually buy.
Discord Orbs are an in-app currency tied to Discord's platform. The Marvel Rivals partnership lets eligible users spend those Orbs inside the Marvel Rivals Discord shop to purchase cosmetics and the current season's battle pass. Discord has labeled this an experimental feature, meaning it's still in beta and not yet available to every Nitro subscriber.
The Orbs themselves aren't new. You earn them by completing Discord quests and watching ads on the platform. What's new is the ability to redirect those Orbs toward Marvel Rivals purchases instead of other Discord perks.

Eligibility is the most important thing to check before you get excited. The feature is restricted to Discord Nitro subscribers only, and even within that group, access has been rolling out to a limited number of users at a time.

If you fall into any of those categories, you won't see the Orb redemption option in the shop. NetEase Games and Discord haven't announced when the feature will open to all eligible Nitro users.

The current scope of the feature covers two item types in the Marvel Rivals Discord shop:

During the first offer window (July 13, 2026 through August 6, 2026), players could pick up bundles like the Captain America summer skin bundle using Orbs. The next offer window hasn't been announced as of September 2026.
The first offer window closed on August 6, 2026. NetEase Games and Discord have not confirmed a date for the next round. The plan appears to be a gradual rollout: each new offer window will extend access to more Nitro users, eventually reaching the full eligible subscriber base.
Keep an eye on the official NetEase Games Discord server for announcements. That's where offer windows and eligibility expansions are most likely to be posted first.
