Between July 31 and August 13, 2025, multiple PC and console games hit significant sales benchmarks. Ready or Not moved over 2 million copies on consoles in its first two weeks, pushing the game's lifetime total past 10 million copies. Remedy confirmed that Control has now sold 5 million copies worldwide. Persona 3 Reload crossed 2 million purchases globally, with continued support planned for the Nintendo Switch 2. The dating sim Date Everything! surpassed 500,000 copies sold, letting players romance everyday objects in absurd scenarios.

Early Access title Titan Quest II cleared 300,000 sales in its opening three days. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella disclosed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has attracted more than 50 million players, a figure that includes Game Pass subscribers. Battlefield 6 recorded the franchise's largest open beta, peaking at just over 521,000 concurrent players. Mobile gaming posted strong revenue numbers during the period. InnoGames announced total lifetime earnings exceeding €2 billion, with Forge of Empires leading the portfolio. Tribal Wars, Grepolis, and Elvenar each crossed €200 million in lifetime revenue. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby pulled in $22.8 million from overseas markets in its first 30 days post-global launch, accounting for 50.3% of its monthly revenue. The United States made up 68% of that overseas total.

Castle Duels earned $13 million in its first year and reached 3.5 million downloads. Azur Games co-founder and CEO Dmitry Yaminsky revealed that the company's games have been downloaded more than 10 billion times, underscoring the scale of mobile distribution today.

PlayStation 5 has sold 80.3 million units, meaning it needs to nearly double that figure to overtake the PlayStation 2's all-time record of 160 million units. Nintendo shipped 5.82 million Nintendo Switch 2 consoles in fiscal Q1'25 (calendar Q2'25), and nearly every buyer picked up Mario Kart World, which sold 5.63 million copies in the same window.

User-generated content platform Roblox saw notable expansion in Q2'25. Daily active users climbed 41% to 111.8 million, while unique monthly paying users rose 42% to 23.4 million. The figures point to sustained growth in online communities and digital engagement.
