South Korean mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon has reached the League of Legends Worlds 2026 final. LoL Esports announced his place in the championship match on November 7, 2026.
Chovy’s record includes multiple domestic LCK titles and back-to-back Mid-Season Invitational championships in 2024 and 2025. He made his Worlds debut with Griffin in 2019.
The 25-year-old also won a gold medal as part of South Korea’s esports team at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games.
Chovy puts the focus on pressure
Chovy discussed his approach to tournament pressure in a post-match interview. He described enjoying the occasion as part of what helped him get the result:
“In previous tournaments, I couldn’t enjoy myself because I felt pressured to meet expectations or overcome burdens. This time, approaching it while enjoying the moment led to a good result.”
T1 and Bilibili Gaming decide the opponent
Next on the League of Legends Worlds 2026 schedule is the other semifinal, between South Korean team T1 and China’s Bilibili Gaming. The match is scheduled for November 9 at 7 a.m. Korean time.
T1 is led by Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. A T1 victory would put Chovy and Faker on opposite sides of the championship match; a Bilibili Gaming win would send the Chinese team through to face Chovy.
The final is scheduled for November 15 at 4 a.m. Korean time.
