Pocketpair has pushed out the v1.0.3 update for Palworld today, August 12, and it covers a lot of ground. This isn't a headline feature drop, but the kind of patch that quietly fixes things that have been quietly annoying players since the 1.0 launch. Jetragon tech is now accessible earlier, World Tree Holy Water got a serious buff, and a bunch of crashes and progression blockers are finally gone.
Jetragon and the aquatic kit just got a lot more accessible
The headline balance change is a meaningful unlock level drop for Jetragon-related technologies. Previously locked behind level 79, those techs now open at level 70. That's nine levels earlier, which matters when you're grinding through the late game and Jetragon feels perpetually out of reach. The materials required for Jetragon's Pal Gear have also been reduced, so actually riding it won't cost you as much once you get there.
The Aquatic Construction Kit got an even bigger shake-up. Its unlock level dropped from 66 all the way down to 23, and its Ancient Technology Point cost fell from 4 to 1. That's a dramatic change, and it signals Pocketpair wants players engaging with water-based building much earlier in a run.
World Tree Holy Water also got buffed across the board. Its duration is extended, its weight dropped from 1 to 0.1, and it's now added to the rewards pool for World Tree expeditions, World Tree fishing, and the Large Fishing Pond. You'll also pull more of it from Pals in The World Tree area and from Teafant Spring. If you've been hoarding it, you can probably relax.
Crude oil, fiber, and base costs all adjusted
On the resource side, Crude Oil Extractor and High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor building costs are down, and both now produce crude oil faster. The base mission that asks you to build a Crude Oil Extractor will now also tick off if you build the High-Pressure version instead, which is a small but sensible quality-of-life fix.
Fiber farming got a quiet but welcome buff: trees now drop double the fiber. That alone will speed up early base building considerably.
Bug fixes that actually matter
The crash and progression fix list is substantial. On PS5, a crash tied to parental controls and the Global Palbox is resolved. On Xbox One and Xbox One S, crashes near Field Bosses in The World Tree area are patched out. A cursor-disappearing bug on PS5 and Xbox that could completely block progression on the world selection screen is also gone.
A progression stopper in Sunreach is fixed too. If you removed the barrier before accepting the main mission there, the mission would lock up permanently. That's been corrected.
For multiplayer, co-op lighting issues after cutscenes are addressed, and dedicated server players will no longer see their Pals vibrating rapidly on screen. Fast Travel triggering unintentionally during Tower Boss battles on dedicated servers is also patched.
Pal behavior fixes include summoned Pals stopping mid-fight or abandoning base work, which was a frustrating one. Alpha Surfent was also bugged at the Ranch and not producing Leather, which is now corrected.
On the items side, a duplication exploit is closed, the Moon Lord and Ultra Raid Boss reward tables are corrected to their intended values, and the Dark Skill Fruit: Psycho Gravity now appears in item search. Sphere launchers had no firing interval set at all, which has been fixed.
PC players dealing with fullscreen resolution settings not applying correctly, or the game snapping back to fullscreen after using F11 or Alt+Enter, will find both of those resolved here.
