S-Game released a Phantom Blade Zero update on November 4, 2026. The patch is version 1.302.289 on PS5.

The martial arts action RPG launched on PS5 and PC in late October.

Hua’s grab changes apply to two difficulties

Hua, Deadly Betrothed, uses grab attacks less frequently on Wayfarer and Pathbreaker after the update. The boss’s grab frequency remains unchanged on the other difficulty settings, so the reduction does not apply across every version of the encounter.

S-Game also adjusted the combat behavior of selected bosses and enemies, changed the functionality of certain environmental mechanisms, and improved weapon hit feedback. The named Hua adjustment is a specific balance change within that broader set of combat updates.

Weapon descriptions and certain skill descriptions have also been revised. For upgrade planning alongside those text changes, the Phantom Blade Zero progression guide explains upgrades and unlocks.

PC startup changes separate ray tracing compilation

The PC patch changes shader compilation to significantly reduce startup times. Ray tracing shaders no longer compile automatically during startup, and the compilation required after installation depends on whether ray tracing was previously enabled.

Players who previously had ray tracing enabled can launch without recompiling shaders. Enabling ray tracing through the settings triggers a separate compilation of the required ray tracing shaders the next time the game restarts.

Other PC fixes address input-related stutter and a graphics setting combination. The update reduces stuttering that could occur with Bluetooth-connected controllers and corrects NVIDIA Reflex behavior when it is set to Auto while V-Sync is enabled.

A separate rendering fix addresses character hair displaying incorrectly on certain AMD graphics cards using specific driver versions. For graphics configuration beyond these fixes, see the Phantom Blade Zero PC settings guide.

Audio controls, remapping, and progression fixes

The audio settings now include Hit Sound Intensity and Hit Impact Sound Intensity, allowing those hit-related sound levels to be adjusted separately. Selected sound effects and dialogue have also received volume adjustments.

PC players can now remap Interact / Talk for both keyboards and controllers. The update also revises controller button icons, alongside the new control-binding option.

The remaining changes include:

  • Performance improvements in selected areas of the game.
  • Fixes for several cutscene-related issues.
  • Corrections for multiple visual glitches.
  • Fixes for several combat-related problems.

Progression fixes target issues that could block advancement under specific conditions. Environmental fixes also address cases where the player character could become stuck.
