BULKHEAD has confirmed that WARDOGS will not be resetting Season 2. On 17 October, the studio announced there would be no "knee jerk reset this weekend" and that it is instead "significantly bringing forward Season 3", so players get a proper fresh start.
Is WARDOGS Resetting Season 2?
No. The official WARDOGS account posted the announcement on X at 11:02 UTC on 17 October, three days into the season. BULKHEAD acknowledged that speeding up progression "was the wrong call", because "some players are reaching end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days, so the wipe never really landed."
The studio ruled out an immediate reset: "We won't be doing a knee jerk reset this weekend, as that would be unfair on everyone already enjoying the climb. Instead, we're looking at significantly bringing forward Season 3 and some of its content, so you get a proper fresh start."
BULKHEAD says more details will follow in a dev vlog the following week, and that some things "are clearly out of balance and we'll fix them", while others it wants to see play out first.
Is No Reset the Right Call?
It's the opposite of what many players asked for. Three days into a season, a reset would have cost players very little. BULKHEAD has decided that the players already climbing matter more, and is betting on an earlier Season 3 instead.
For context on how the season got here, the launch-night admissions, the tank exploit, and the blue bonus are all covered in BULKHEAD's Season 2 mistakes.
What Are WARDOGS Players Saying?
Mostly, they want the reset. The announcement passed 570,000 views and over 1,500 replies within hours. The most-liked reply, with over 1,300 likes, went straight at BULKHEAD's framing: "Nobody is 'enjoying the climb' except for [...] streamers that play 24/7 and are already lv100. Hard reset it."
Others called for catch-up systems like rested XP for players with full-time jobs. One reply with over 360 likes said simply: "There is zero reason People should have the havok right now."
Brammer replied under the announcement that the current progression setup is not the long-term plan: "Early next year we'll be adding Intel and a less linear progression tree."
When Is WARDOGS Season 3?
There is no date yet. BULKHEAD says it is "significantly bringing forward Season 3", with details expected in a dev vlog the following week. The reason for accelerating the timeline is clear: Season 2's faster progression allowed players to reach Tier 4 armour and main battle tanks within days, meaning "the wipe never really landed."
Should You Keep Playing Season 2?
That depends on what you enjoy. The war side of WARDOGS is currently unbalanced, with end-game gear already in the hands of a small group of players. The trucking side of the game remains largely unaffected by those progression issues.
