WARDOGS Season 2 arrives on October 15, 2026, and BULKHEAD has packed it with more content than most games push in a full version update. Four new weapons, four new vehicles, a weather system overhaul, a brand-new vendor mechanic, and a slate of balance changes that reshape how the three factions interact. Season 1 closed out with over 3 million sales and a player count still hovering near 100K, so the bar coming in is already high.

When does WARDOGS Season 2 go live?

The update goes live on October 15, 2026 at 9:00 AM PT, following the same release window BULKHEAD used for Season 1. Full patch notes are expected to drop alongside the update itself.

What new weapons are coming in Season 2?

Four weapons enter the arsenal, covering every range bracket from close-quarters to mid-range suppression fire.

  • TCX Spear — Assault rifle. The primary all-rounder of the new batch.
  • M14 — Designated marksman rifle. Fills the semi-auto precision slot between ARs and full bolt-actions.
  • PP-19 Bizon — SMG. The helical magazine design makes it a recognizable pick for players who've used it in other shooters.
  • Evo-3 Ultra — LMG. Expect this one to anchor defensive positions and suppression roles.

All four weapons arrive with new attachments, so the loadout depth expands beyond just the guns themselves.

What vehicles are new in Season 2?

The vehicle roster gets four additions, with the T-72 being the headline pick for anyone who's been waiting for a second main battle tank option.

  • Wolf-110 — A fast, light wheeled transport. Built for speed over protection.
  • Wolf-110 (Assault) — The same frame with a ring-mounted M2 Browning added. Turns a transport into a mobile fire platform.
  • T-72 — Main battle tank. Slower than the Leopard, but cheaper and significantly more fuel-efficient. That fuel economy matters in a game where logistics costs are a real factor.
  • Flakpanzer Gepard — Anti-air vehicle. If helicopters have been dominating your matches, this is the answer.

For a full breakdown of how these stack up against the existing roster, the WARDOGS vehicle tier list covers every ground and air option by role.

What are the new buildables and throwables?

Three buildables and one throwable round out the equipment additions.

New buildables:

  • MG Nest — A manned M2 Browning emplacement. Stationary but powerful for holding chokepoints.
  • Large Shelter — Metal cover for protecting key assets or creating staging areas.
  • Wooden Step — Exactly what it sounds like. Small vertical mobility boost for reaching positions that were previously inaccessible.

New throwable:

  • Molotov — Thrown incendiary that splashes fire on impact. Works overarm or underarm. Designed for both direct damage and area denial, making it useful for flushing players out of cover or blocking routes.

How does the new Rain weather preset change the game?

Rain is more than a visual filter. Visibility drops, engagement ranges shift, and sound propagation changes across the whole server. Damaged and destroyed structures interact with the rain system, so the environment feels different depending on how much combat has already happened in an area.

The standout mechanic: thunder is synchronized across the entire server and can temporarily mask footsteps. That opens up specific windows for repositioning or flanking that simply don't exist in clear weather. If you're playing during a thunder clap, move.

What is the Wager Vendor?

The Wager Vendor is Season 2's most experimental addition. The concept is straightforward: you bet on your own performance.

Set your objectives (getting kills in the Hot Zone, delivering a set number of players, and similar tasks), decide how many deaths you're willing to spend completing them, then stake your cash. Stack more objectives onto a single wager and the odds lengthen, but the payout grows with them. A live tracker sits above the minimap showing your stake and progress in real time.

It's entirely optional and builds directly on the cash reward systems the game already runs on. For players who've mastered the core loop, it adds a risk layer without changing anything about how the underlying game plays.

What balance changes are hitting Season 2?

Helmets are getting a meaningful rework. The Super Heavy Helmet now comes with real tradeoffs: muffled audio, a restricted field of view, and fogging when you sprint. Heavy and Super Heavy helmets both receive increased suppression resistance to match the new suppression changes, so the protection is more meaningful but the situational awareness cost is real.

The Infrared Rangefinder now runs on batteries, adding a resource management consideration to a previously passive item.

Faction balance sees the biggest structural changes:

  • All faction spawns have moved on Bakurani.
  • Lonestar uniforms are more desaturated to reduce their visual contrast against other factions.
  • Lonestar receives cash and XP win bonuses for Season 2 only, plus cash and XP multipliers.
  • A new vendor discount applies to any team that falls 40 or more points behind second place: 20% off across the vendor. This applies to all factions, not just Lonestar.
  • Community server hosts caught exploiting faction bonuses will face penalties.

The Lonestar adjustments suggest the faction underperformed in Season 1. The 20% vendor discount for losing teams is a smart catch-up mechanic that keeps matches from becoming one-sided stomps in the final stretch.

What else is changing in Season 2?

Beyond the headline additions, BULKHEAD has confirmed improvements to squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness, and progression. There are additional rewards for teamplay and logistics contributions, which fits the game's identity as a shooter where supply runs and taxi driving are genuinely valued activities. Performance optimizations, bug fixes, and server stability work are also part of the update.

For context on what BULKHEAD has confirmed beyond Season 2, the WARDOGS post-launch roadmap covers new weapons, vehicle rotations, seasonal resets, and server improvements that are still to come.

Season 2 is a substantial update for a game that's only been in early access for about a month. The full patch notes will add more detail to the balance changes specifically. For everything else WARDOGS, check the full WARDOGS guide collection.
