The Well Rested Badge is one of the newer badges added to PEAK as part of the Final Ascent update, and it requires you to do something genuinely weird: find a small pink worm wandering the GLOOM biome and eat it. The challenge is less about the eating and more about the finding, since the Early Worm spawns randomly with no fixed location. Here's exactly what you need to know.
Where to find the Early Worm in PEAK
The Early Worm only appears in the GLOOM biome, which is the fourth biome you pass through when climbing from the Shore. It won't show up in any earlier zone, so don't waste time searching before you reach GLOOM.
Once you're there, keep your eyes on the ground. The Early Worm is a small pink worm that moves in a circle among the rocks and hot dog plants. Given GLOOM's dark atmosphere, the worm's pink color actually makes it relatively easy to spot against the terrain once you know what you're looking for.

If you're running with a squad, the good news is that multiple Early Worms can appear across the biome, which raises the odds that at least one player finds one. Playing with friends makes this badge noticeably less frustrating to hunt down.
How to consume the Early Worm and unlock the badge
Picking up the Early Worm works exactly like grabbing any other item in PEAK. Once it's in your hands, hold Left-Click to eat it. That's the consume action, and completing it immediately grants the Well Rested Badge.
Eating the worm also clears your hunger status and removes the sleep effect, which is genuinely useful given how dangerous GLOOM's mist can be. One thing it won't fix: injuries. Don't expect it to patch up any damage you've taken on the climb.
You also don't need to cook it first. Pick it up, hold Left-Click, done.

Tips for surviving GLOOM while you search
The Early Worm hunt puts you in GLOOM longer than a standard pass-through, which means more exposure to its hazards. A few things worth knowing before you go looking:
- The mist in GLOOM deals sleep damage passively. Without a light source, this can knock you out faster than you'd expect.
- Candlesticks and Faerie Lights both provide protection against the sleep effect while you're near them.
- Ringing a Belltower clears the sleep effect for the surrounding area temporarily, giving you a safe window to search nearby ground.
- Enemies are active throughout GLOOM. Don't get so focused on scanning the floor that you stop watching your surroundings.
If your team goes down while you're hunting the worm, knowing how to revive teammates in PEAK becomes especially relevant here since GLOOM is one of the more punishing biomes to be caught dead in.
