Diana's hacking gauge is one of the most powerful tools in Pragmata, and Storage Expanders are the collectibles that push its upper limit higher. Each one you find directly increases how much charge Diana can hold, which in turn makes the Overdrive Protocol ability available for longer and more frequently during tough fights. There are only two confirmed Storage Expanders across the currently documented sectors, and both require specific abilities before you can reach them.

What do Storage Expanders actually do?

According to both Eurogamer and Destructoid's coverage of Pragmata, each Storage Expander you collect automatically upgrades the upper limit of Diana's hacking bar the moment you pick it up. There is no menu interaction required. The game describes it as Diana consuming the collectible, and the gauge expands immediately.

The hacking bar feeds directly into the Overdrive Protocol (also referenced as the Override Protocol in some sources), which is the go-to ability for dismantling strong enemies and bosses. A larger gauge means more time in that powerful state, so tracking down every expander is worth the detour.

How to get the Sector 01 Storage Expander (Solar Power Plant)

This one is gated behind an ability you will not have on your first pass through Sector 01. You need the Lim Eraser, which you unlock during Sector 02 after completing the Comms Tower quest in Block 05. Once you have it, fast-travel back to Block 01 and exit at the Power Plant Platform tram stop.

From the tram stop, go through the door on your right and keep following the path to the right. You will reach a doorway sealed by blue lunafilament. Use the Lim Eraser to clear it, step into the next room, and the first Storage Expander is waiting at the Generator Entrance of the Solar Power Plant.

How to get the Sector 03 Storage Expander (Terra Dome 05)

The second expander sits inside the Terrarium, specifically in the Red Zone closest to the Cultivation tram stop in Block 05. According to Eurogamer's guide, you simply need to clear the Terrarium Red Zone to claim it. A door inside marked with a Warning sign leads to the room containing both the Storage Expander and a piece of Pure Lunum.

Unlike the first expander, this one does not require backtracking or a specific tool beyond what you need to tackle Red Zones in general. Clear the zone, grab the rewards.

Does the collection order matter?

Based on Destructoid's coverage, you do not need to collect Storage Expanders in a strict sequence. That said, the Sector 01 expander is physically inaccessible until you have the Lim Eraser from Sector 02, so the order is somewhat forced by progression. Sector 03's expander is more straightforward and can be grabbed as soon as you reach that Red Zone.

The practical advice: clear Sector 02 Block 05 first, then fast-travel back to Sector 01 before moving on. You will pick up both expanders in a clean sweep without doubling back later.

More sectors coming

Both source guides note that additional sectors are still being documented. As of April 2026, only Sector 01 and Sector 03 Storage Expander locations have been confirmed. Sector 02 is confirmed to have none. Expect this list to grow as players work through later sectors.
