Farm Reborn Skeletons or Living Zombies at Haunted Castle in the Third Sea to get Nightmare Catcher in Blox Fruits.

This Mythical material goes toward Pain fruit research upgrades in the Roblox game. You need 4 Nightmare Catchers for Torment Conductor and Spectral Assimilation, plus 15,500 Fragments and 10 Ectoplasm. Reborn Skeletons are the easier starting target, but either enemy can drop it. Set your material target before you start, because this is a random drop rather than a reward you can guarantee after a certain number of kills.

How many Nightmare Catchers should you farm?

Torment Conductor needs 1 Nightmare Catcher, while Spectral Assimilation needs 3. Farm 4 if you want to complete both research tiers, and budget the accompanying Fragments and Ectoplasm. Getting the rare material is only part of the bill.

Pain research upgradeNightmare CatchersFragmentsEctoplasm
Torment Conductor16,0005
Spectral Assimilation39,5005
Combined cost415,50010

Your first Nightmare Catcher makes a useful checkpoint. With 6,000 Fragments and 5 Ectoplasm ready, you have the materials for Torment Conductor when you reach that research tier. You can return to upgrade then or keep farming toward the combined cost before making the trip back.

Pain is a Legendary fruit sold by the Blox Fruit Dealer. If you still need the fruit itself, check the Blox Fruits fruit prices and rarities guide before committing to its material farm.

Where are Nightmare Catcher enemies located?

Nightmare Catcher is a Third Sea-only material. Third Sea access opens at level 1,500, but the enemies you need are level 1,975 and 2,000. Reaching the sea and being ready to farm these enemies are different milestones. Aim to arrive around level 1,975 or higher, with enough damage to clear fights reliably.

Your destination is Haunted Castle. Look for Reborn Skeletons in the graveyard on the island's left side and Living Zombies in the forest. Both targets are on the same island, so switching between them does not require another boat trip.

Which enemy should you choose?

EnemyLevelHaunted Castle locationFarming recommendation
Reborn Skeleton1,975Graveyard on the left sideStart here for the slightly weaker enemies
Living Zombie2,000Forest areaUse as an alternative when you can handle the fights comfortably

Reborn Skeletons are the practical default. They sit 25 levels below Living Zombies and are slightly weaker, making them the more manageable option when you first reach this farming stage. Living Zombies remain a valid source if your character can clear them without struggling.

If Haunted Castle enemies are still too much for your character, work on progression before settling into the grind. The Blox Fruits beginners guide covers combat preparation and island progression for players still building toward this stage.

How can you farm Nightmare Catcher efficiently?

Keep your Haunted Castle farming loop focused on enemies you can defeat consistently. When Reborn Skeletons or Living Zombies are grouped together, gather them and use area skills to clear multiple targets.

  • Use the graveyard as your starting area. Reborn Skeletons offer the easier fights of the two drop sources.
  • Try the forest when you can manage it. Living Zombies are another option without leaving Haunted Castle.
  • Track your inventory against your next upgrade. Your target is 1 Nightmare Catcher for Torment Conductor or 3 for Spectral Assimilation.
  • Stay focused on the drop count. Defeating enemies creates opportunities for the material to drop, but kills are not a substitute for the material itself.

Nightmare Catcher is a chance drop. A successful drop gives you 1 Nightmare Catcher at a time, so completing both research tiers requires multiple successful drops.

Does farming with other players help?

A group can split up to clear enemies around Haunted Castle. Nightmare Catcher drops are calculated separately for each player, so another player's pickup does not count toward your own materials. Keep checking your inventory rather than using the group's combined drops as your progress counter.

Which extra materials should you keep?

Keep any Bones and Ectoplasm you collect during the farm. These materials have other upgrade and crafting uses, and Ectoplasm is also required for the Pain research tiers you are working toward. The combined Ectoplasm requirement for Torment Conductor and Spectral Assimilation is 10.

How do you use Nightmare Catcher at the Admin Panel?

Take your materials to the Mysterious Scientist at Castle on the Sea in the Third Sea. He provides access to the Admin Panel, where you purchase Pain's research upgrades.

  1. Interact with the Mysterious Scientist and open the Admin Panel.
  2. Select Pain and find the research tier you want to complete.
  3. Check that you have its Nightmare Catchers, Fragments, and Ectoplasm.
  4. Purchase the upgrade when you meet its requirements.

Before leaving Haunted Castle, compare your inventory with the cost of your next Pain upgrade. Having enough Nightmare Catchers does not cover missing Fragments or Ectoplasm. Checking all of the ingredients first saves you a trip to the Scientist that ends without an upgrade.

Use the requirements shown in the Admin Panel as your final check before spending materials, especially after a game update.

Should you keep farming after getting 4 Nightmare Catchers?

Nightmare Catcher's only use is these Pain research upgrades. Once you have covered both tiers, there is no other crafting goal that requires it. If you are still deciding which fruit deserves your resources, the Blox Fruits Devil Fruit tier list can help you choose before committing more time to Pain.

How many Nightmare Catchers can you hold?

Your inventory can hold up to 99 Nightmare Catchers. That leaves plenty of room beyond the 4 needed for Torment Conductor and Spectral Assimilation, but filling the stack is unnecessary if those upgrades are your only goal.

Can you farm Nightmare Catcher in the Second Sea?

No. Nightmare Catcher comes from Reborn Skeletons and Living Zombies at Haunted Castle in the Third Sea. If you are still progressing through the Second Sea, focus on reaching the Third Sea and preparing for enemies around level 1,975 to 2,000.

Once your Nightmare Catchers, Fragments, and Ectoplasm cover the Pain research tier you want, return to the Mysterious Scientist at Castle on the Sea. That is the useful stopping point, not an inventory full of materials you no longer need.
