How does the move system work in Jujutsu Shenanigans?

Dealing damage fills the awakening bar. Once it's full, pressing G triggers the awakened form, which restores HP and unlocks a new moveset. Some characters skip a full awakened form and instead get a single powerful awakened move when G is pressed. A handful of characters can also reach a super awakened state by using a specific move during awakening.

All free characters available in every game mode

The majority of the roster is free and playable across all game modes. Here's a breakdown of each one.

Honored One

HP: 100 | Awakened form: Six Eyes (heals 25 HP, lasts 60 seconds)

Honored One is the closest thing to a flagship character in Jujutsu Shenanigans. His base kit revolves around Lapse Blue (12.5 damage, 13s cooldown) and Reversal Red (12.5 damage, 20s cooldown), both blockable but capable of bypassing ragdoll. Rapid Punches is the standout base move: 17.25 unblockable damage with a Face Grater variant that adds 10 more if you chain the special immediately after.

The awakened Six Eyes form is where Honored One becomes genuinely threatening. Lapse Blue Max jumps to 44 unblockable damage, and Hollow Purple hits for 70. The domain expansion, Infinite Void, has a 120-second cooldown and lasts 14 seconds. Land both Lapse Blue Max then Reversal Red Max in sequence to trigger Unlimited Purple, which scales from 50 to 100 damage based on distance from the center.

Vessel

Vessel trades raw HP for one of the best passives in the game. Negating basic attack stuns means opponents can't interrupt your combos with M1 spam. Divergent Fist has a Black Flash Chain variant that chains up to four times, with the fourth hit dealing 15 damage.

In the King of Curses awakening, the Shrine passive replaces M1 attacks with Dismantle slashes that have longer range but lower damage. Cleave deals 40% of the opponent's current HP (minimum 10), making it deadly against high-HP targets. The combo finisher World Cutting Slash (1+3+2+R) lands 80 damage and puts all used moves into cooldown as the cost.

Restless Gambler

HP: 100 | Awakened form: Idle Death Gamble (heals 15 HP)

Restless Gambler has the most unique awakening system in the roster. Activating Idle Death Gamble opens a domain where you cast two visual moves to trigger one of two scenarios: Transit Card Richii or Travel Emergency Richii. If Tze succeeds, you get the Jackpot: full invincibility for 100 seconds. Fail three times and you receive a Pity Jackpot on the fourth attempt, granting 50 seconds of invincibility instead.

During the domain, landing Reverse Balls on opponents twice also grants the Renewal passive. In the awakened form, Overwhelming Luck deals 30 damage on all hits after the first, and Rhythm (the special) reduces all move cooldowns by 0.6 seconds with no awakening cost.

Ten Shadows

HP: 85 | Awakened form: Insanity (heals 15 HP) | Super awakened: Mahoraga

Ten Shadows is one of two characters with a super awakened state. The base kit summons shikigami: Rabbit Escape (14 damage), Nue (16 damage with an electric variant), Toad (pulls opponents), and Divine Dog: Totality (6 damage per hit).

The Insanity awakening gives you a Switch passive that lets you toggle between awakened and base movesets with G. Pressing 4 in awakened form activates Mahoraga, draining 40% of the awakening bar and transforming the character entirely. Mahoraga runs on a Ritual Bar instead of an awakening bar. The bar depletes when empty and drains health, but refills by landing M1 attacks or most moves. Perfection's Self Transfiguration special toggles between Blade Mode (faster M1s, 6.5 damage on dash) and Club Mode (slower M1s but unblockable, 8.5 damage on dash). This mode system carries into the awakened form and affects which variants of Body Disfigure you access.

The awakened 1 key move, Idle Transfiguration, deals 300 damage on the second hit and skips cooldown if it kills. Switcher

HP: 100 | Awakened form: False Memories (heals 20 HP, lasts 60 seconds)

Switcher's entire identity is Boogie Woogie (R), a position-swap special with four variants. The Perfect Swap variant (M1 timed with the clap) has no cooldown and only costs 3% awakening after the refund. The Fakeout variant (M1 before the clap) refunds the 6% awakening cost entirely.

In False Memories, Brothers is a 45-second cooldown counter that deals 80 damage on success. If Switcher doesn't counter anything, the variant still fires for 70 damage. Climax Jumping hits for 42.4 unblockable damage.

Defense Attorney

HP: 100 | Passive: Gavel (M1 attacks deal 14 damage, 1.7s cooldown) | Awakened form: Death Penalty (heals 60 HP, lasts 60 seconds)

Defense Attorney has the highest awakening HP heal in the free roster at 60. The Executioner's Sword passive in the awakened form extends M1 range while the front dash knocks opponents backward and stuns them.

Execution (1 in awakened form) scales across three hits on the same opponent: 25 damage, then 25 again, then 310 on the third. Final Judgement (2) deals 300 damage if you win the quick time event, or 35 if you fail. Cursed Partners

Head of the Hei

Head of the Hei is a high-risk character. The awakening sets HP to 75 and the character dies when the awakening ends unless the domain expansion is used. The Frame Freeze passive builds a Projection Meter that freezes opponents at 100%, and frozen enemies take three times the damage. Decisive Strike deals 21 damage against frozen targets instead of 13.
