The Hunt: Roblox 20 is Roblox's platform-wide 20th-anniversary event, launching September 17, 2026. Before the gates open for everyone, Roblox Plus subscribers get a preview window inside the event hub. It sounds like a head start. It isn't, quite, but knowing exactly what you can and can't do before launch saves you from chasing phantom progress.

What does Roblox Plus early access actually give you?

The short version: you get to walk around and look at things. Early access opens the event hub so you can explore the space and inspect the anniversary items on display. Nothing you do inside counts toward any reward. No badges drop, no quests activate, and no progress carries over to launch day.

Think of it as a sightseeing pass to a museum that hasn't opened yet. The exhibits are visible, but the gift shop is locked.

tip
Skipping early access costs you zero rewards. If you don't have Roblox Plus, you lose nothing by waiting for the September 17 launch.

How to get into the hub early

The process is straightforward, but a couple of details trip people up.

Step 1: Sign in on the right account. Early access is tied to the specific account holding the Roblox Plus subscription. An alt account doesn't inherit it, so make sure you're logged into the account you actually plan to play the event on.

Step 2: Confirm your Roblox Plus status. Open the subscription page and check that your membership is active. The dashboard lists your benefits including item discounts, private servers, and Marketplace publishing perks, alongside a Manage button for the plan itself.

Step 3: Search correctly. Type the hunt into the Roblox search bar. The results surface several event-related experiences including The Hunt: Mega Edition, The Classic, and The Haunt. Read the creator name before clicking. You want the official hub, not a copycat.

Step 4: Launch the official hub. Open the experience page and scroll the details section first. The event schedule is published there, which confirms you're on the right page before you spend time loading in.

How do you know early access worked?

The hub loads and drops you into the environment instead of bouncing you with a closed-event message. Inside, item displays are viewable and the space is walkable, but quest prompts and badge pop-ups won't fire.

After exiting, check your profile. No event badges should appear yet. That's the expected state before launch, not a sign anything went wrong.

warning
Ignore any posts or accounts offering instant anniversary items or paid early access links. There are no reward codes for this event, and no third party can sell you entry. Don't spend Robux outside of Roblox itself.

What rewards are up for grabs at launch?

Progress in The Hunt: Roblox 20 runs entirely on badges rather than codes or a Robux shop. Each participating place awards two badges, and your running total is what unlocks anniversary rewards through the hub.

Badges are awarded once per place, per account. Replaying the same experience does nothing for your total, so the efficient approach on launch day is to clear each place once, confirm the badge registered, and move to the next one.

The items spotted in the hub ahead of launch make up the likely reward pool:

  • Vicennial Party Hat
  • Birthday Time Fedora
  • Horn of Candles
  • Crown of Rivals
  • Silver Rivals Domino Crown
  • Golden Rivals Domino Crown
  • Confetti Cannon

Roblox has not yet tied specific badge counts to individual items, so exact unlock thresholds aren't confirmed.

What games are part of The Hunt: Roblox 20?

Roblox revealed the event at the Roblox Innovation Awards 2026 and teased the September 17 date across its social accounts. An official participating-games list hasn't been published yet. The event leans on a classic theme built around rebuilt Roblox maps, with reported locations including Crossroads, Chaos Canyon, Classic Rocket Arena, and Roblox World Headquarters. None of that is locked in until the hub officially opens.

tip
An exact start hour and an end date for The Hunt: Roblox 20 have not been confirmed. September 17, 2026 is the only fixed date in the schedule right now.

Make the most of launch day

Since early access is purely exploratory, the real prep work happens before September 17. Use the hub preview to identify which anniversary items you want most, then plan a route through the participating places on launch day. Because each badge only counts once, efficiency matters more than replaying favorites.
