Here's the thing most players get wrong: the Valley of Screams isn't a fixed location on the map. You can't simply walk to a specific spot and step inside. The only way in is through purple portals, and those portals appear completely at random across the map.
There's no timer, no trigger, and no reliable spawn point for them. When one appears near you, treat it as a priority. Walk directly into the portal to enter the Valley of Screams. You don't need to press T or any other interaction key, just move through it.

When you're ready to leave, the portal stays active behind you. Walk back through it to exit. One important detail: you won't return to the spot where you entered. The game teleports you back to your spawn point instead.
Where is Dr. Voris in VV Ultimatum?
Dr. Voris is easy to miss because his location is genuinely obscure. Head to the Soul Society Outskirts and look for the area between the two villages. Cross the wooden suspension bridge, climb the stairs, and enter the cave. You'll encounter a Giant Dragonfly in this area. Near that encounter, look for a hole in the terrain. Dr. Voris is inside it.

The portal summoning service is the more valuable of the two for most players. Instead of waiting around for a random portal to spawn, you pay 200 tokens and get immediate access to the Valley of Screams. If you're trying to swap out Spirit Charms regularly, this removes the randomness entirely.
What can you do inside the Valley of Screams?
The primary function of the Valley of Screams is Spirit Charm removal. Once inside, you can unequip any Spirit Charm currently attached to your character. This is the only place in VV Ultimatum where removal is possible, which is why access matters so much.
Remember that removal is permanent. There's no storage mechanic for Spirit Charms you take off. If you remove one, it's gone. Make sure you actually want to swap before confirming.
