Apollo's Sunshot Rod sits behind one of the longest unlock chains in Roblox Fisch. You're looking at a full dungeon clear, two puzzles, a server-wide event, and a Mythic fish hunt, all before a 5-minute purchase window opens. The good news: once you know exactly what to do, none of the individual steps are that hard. The Solar Chorus RNG is the only part you can't control, and even that bends in your favor on a busy public server.
What are the prerequisites before entering Apollo's Song of Light?
Apollo's Song of Light is Layer 2 of the Wrath of Olympus dungeon, buried beneath Atlantis. You cannot reach it without clearing Layer 1 first.
Spawn a boat at Moosewood Village, sail southeast to Grand Reef, and find the Atlantis entrance near the Bubble Mermaid island. Equip the Heart of Zeus and jump in. From the Sunken Depths, keep diving until Wrath of Olympus appears.
How to clear Bellona's Frenzy of War
Layer 1 is Bellona's Frenzy of War, and it requires a full bestiary plus several collection objectives before the seal breaks:
- Collect all 5 Bellona Swords and place them on their stands
- Gather every Shield Fragment variant: Bloodied, Cracked, Legionnaire's, Sunken, and Aegis (the Aegis is the one most players miss)
- Retrieve the Royal Helmet from behind the sword door
- Catch the layer's exotic hunt fish and win the attack minigame
- Complete the full Layer 1 bestiary and the Royal Guards' quests
Once the seal shatters, a passage opens in the center of the room. Drop through it and you're in Apollo's Song of Light.
Step 1: Complete the Apollo's Song of Light bestiary
All 12 fish must be caught before the mirror or instrument puzzles will respond. The full list:
Broken Arrow, Gleanfin Minnow, Sunscale Tetra, Beamtail Koi, Radiant Guppy, Lumen Bass, Prismfin Trout, Auric Angelfish, Dawnflare Eel, Solstice Ray, Empyrean Sunwhale, and Helios Sunray.
Most of these bite anywhere in the layer. Two exceptions: the Radiant Guppy and Empyrean Sunwhale only appear during a Solar Chorus event. The Helios Sunray is the Mythic hunt fish covered in Step 4. Always cast inside the golden light beams, since they protect lure speed and luck, and every event-related catch happens within them.
For a detailed breakdown of all 12 fish including exact bait and weather conditions, the Fisch Apollo's Song of Light fish guide covers each entry individually.
Step 2: Aim all 5 mirrors at the seal
Five mirrors are positioned around the layer. One sits noticeably higher than the others, so look up before assuming you've found them all. Interact with each mirror and rotate it until its beam points down toward the central seal.
When all five are correctly aligned, they light up simultaneously and project beams onto the seal. If even one is off, the instrument puzzle will not trigger. Double-check every mirror before moving on.
Step 3: Play the instruments in the correct order
Five large glowing instruments are scattered around the area. Interact with them in this exact sequence:
- Drums
- Banjo
- Saxophone
- Violin
- Harp
A short cutscene plays when the correct sequence is completed and the door to Apollo's Sunshot opens. That cutscene is your confirmation.
Step 4: Light all 8 Stone Tablets during a Solar Chorus
The Solar Chorus is a server-wide event triggered by players fishing inside the yellow light circles. More active players means faster spawns, which is why joining a populated public server cuts your wait time significantly.
Once the Solar Chorus begins, fish beside each of the 8 Stone Tablets (marked with sun icons on the map) until they glow. All 8 must be lit while the event is still active.
With the tablets glowing, catching 25 Legendary fish inside the light beams starts the Helios Sunray Hunt. This count is shared across the entire server and carries over between Solar Chorus events. Changing servers resets it, so stay put.
Step 5: Catch the Helios Sunray and buy the rod
When the hunt begins, the Helios Sunray's pool appears north of the main fishing area, marked yellow on your Fish Radar. Catch the Mythic Helios Sunray while the tablets are still lit. The server-wide message "A Helios Sunray emerges from the Light!" confirms a successful catch.
Apollo's Sunshot spawns under the tree near the seal at approximately coordinates -8840, -2903, 501. The rod is available for exactly 5 minutes, and on public servers it appears for everyone simultaneously. Miss the window and you'll need another Solar Chorus: mirrors, instruments, and bestiary stay completed, so only Steps 4 and 5 need repeating.
The rod costs 17,500,000 C$ and requires Level 350.

What are Apollo's Sunshot Rod's stats?
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 80% |
| Luck | 150% |
| Control | 0.1 |
| Resilience | 40% |
| Max Kg | 2,000,000 kg |
| Line Distance | 180 m |
| Hunt Focus | Solar Chorus +7 |
| Cost | 17,500,000 C$ |
| Level Requirement | 350 |
The signature mechanic is the Charge Meter above your fishing bar. It fills at 1.5x speed during the day and drops to 0.5x at night. At 100% charge, your catch gains +9% progress and a 40% chance to apply the Sunlit mutation, which multiplies fish value by 6.8x. Burned fish also slow by 50% for 3 seconds, making extended fights much easier to manage.
The combination of 150% Luck and a 2,000,000 kg cap puts this rod in the top tier for endgame money and XP grinding. It plays similarly to Maelstrom or Cupid's Bow in feel, but the Sunlit proc makes it distinctly stronger for value farming.
What are the best enchantments for Apollo's Sunshot?
For general grinding, Mystical with an Exalted Relic paired with Overclocked is the strongest combination. The lure speed, luck, and progress speed bonuses stack well with Sunlit procs. Divine works as a solid alternative if you don't have an Exalted Relic yet.
For boss hunting, switch to Herculean to boost Control and Max Kg. Controlled is the budget version of that approach.
If you're working through other high-effort rods in the Wrath of Olympus chain, the Dutchman's Rod guide and the Bellona's Waraxe Rod guide cover two of the other major unlocks worth pursuing at this level.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't Apollo's Sunshot spawning after I catch the Helios Sunray?
Three things to check: the bestiary is not at 100%, the Stone Tablets were not glowing at the moment of the catch, or there was no active Solar Chorus. All three conditions must be true simultaneously for the spawn to trigger.
Can I get the rod if I missed the 5-minute window?
Yes. The mirrors, instruments, and bestiary stay completed permanently. Return to Step 4, wait for the next Solar Chorus, re-light the tablets, catch 25 Legendaries to restart the hunt, then catch the Helios Sunray again.
What bait works best for the Helios Sunray?
Shiny Larva is the community favorite because its quick-catcher and lure speed bonuses matter more than luck on a Mythic hunt fish. Rods like Requiem, Pinion's Aria, or the Fabulous rod handle exotic hunts efficiently if you have them.
Is 17.5M C$ worth it for newer players?
For players already at Level 350, the 150% Luck and 6.8x Sunlit multiplier make it one of the best money-per-hour rods available. Players below that level should prioritize cheaper rods first since the entire unlock chain demands millions in preparation costs.
