The Shop in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds exchanges Donpa Tickets and Duel Medals for characters, cosmetics, titles, and Jukebox tracks. Added in Ver. 2.0.0, it gives you a central storefront for these rewards. Start with the item you want, then check its price and required currency before choosing what to play.
Play Missions offer a way to earn both currencies, while Best-of-10 Competitions are an announced source of Duel Medals. Donpa Tickets also fund purchases outside The Shop, including vehicle parts and eligible returning Festival Gadgets, so your next cosmetic competes with other uses for the same balance.
Which currencies can you exchange at The Shop?
Donpa Tickets and Duel Medals are separate purchase currencies. Use the currency shown on an item's listing to set your target. A ticket-earning session will not help with a reward that asks for medals.
| Currency | Spending destinations | Purchase planning |
|---|---|---|
| Donpa Tickets | The Shop, vehicle parts, Friendships, and eligible Gadgets through Customize Gadgets | Compare your cosmetic goal with any setup purchases you still need |
| Duel Medals | The Shop | Find a medal reward you want before selecting an earning activity |
The Shop covers six reward categories: auras, horns, decals, characters, titles, and Jukebox tracks. Browse the relevant selection and check the individual reward's cost. Do not assume that everything in a category asks for the same currency or amount.
Check the listing before you race
Use a short purchase checklist:
- Identify the exact reward you want.
- Read its required currency and price.
- Compare the cost with your current balance.
- Choose an activity that awards the currency you still need.
Your balance is only half the decision. If your next goal is a vehicle adjustment or a returning Gadget, check that purchase before committing your Donpa Tickets to a cosmetic.

How do you earn Shop currencies through Play Missions?
Play Missions award Donpa Tickets and Duel Medals for completing objectives through regular play. Each mission has a deadline, so its task and cutoff both belong in your session plan.
Match the objective to your purchase
Read the mission's reward before starting. Then use its wording to decide which activity and actions will advance it.
- Open Play Missions and find a task that awards your target currency.
- Read the complete objective, including any required condition.
- Check how much time remains before its deadline.
- Play to meet that condition before the cutoff.
- Review your progress before ending the session.
Prioritize a task you can finish in time. A reward is not a practical target if its remaining objective needs more playtime than you have before it expires.
If you're struggling with an unfinished mission, return to its exact condition. Choose your next activity around what remains instead of assuming that another race will advance it.

Other ways to earn Donpa Tickets
Grand Prix Red Star Rings provide a useful ticket boost while you progress through the game. Collecting a track's complete set of five earns 30 Donpa Tickets in total. You can gather them across multiple races, so a missed ring does not require restarting the collection.
Race results also contribute. Finishing first awards an extra 10 Donpa Tickets. Ver. 2.0.0 adds another opportunity in World Match: matchmaking can pair you against Rivals of similar skill, and coming out ahead earns bonus tickets.
Choose between these routes based on your remaining goals. Missing Red Star Rings make Grand Prix a useful option; a World Match session offers the chance to earn the new Rival bonus alongside regular racing.
How will Best-of-10 Competitions reward Duel Medals?
Best-of-10 Competitions are marked coming soon in Ver. 2.0.0. These limited-time events ask you to compete for the most points within a limited number of races.
Their announced reward currency is Duel Medals. Those medals can be exchanged for exclusive horns, auras, and other rewards.
Keep the event route separate from missions
You do not need to wait for a Best-of-10 Competition to start working toward a medal purchase. Look for a Play Mission that awards medals and whose objective you can complete before its deadline.
Treat competitions as another earning route when they become available. Their coming-soon status in Ver. 2.0.0 does not establish an active event schedule or a medal payout to plan around.
You must also update to the latest game version to play online modes and access DLC. Installing the update and waiting for an announced competition are separate requirements.
Can you unlock characters at The Shop?
Yes. Characters are one of The Shop's reward categories. Check the character listings for the racer you want, then use that entry's currency and price to decide what to save.
The storefront is not the game's only character unlock route. Ver. 2.0.0 also introduces Bayonetta as a reward for progressing through Rival Duel, where you face CPU CrossOver racers in offline one-on-one matches.
Follow the specific racer's requirement
For a character listed in The Shop, your task is to earn the requested currency. For Bayonetta's Rival Duel unlock, your task is to progress through that mode.
Check the route before spending a session on missions. A larger currency balance does not replace a progression requirement attached to a different activity.

Find the racer's purchase listing
Can you exchange currency for Jukebox tracks?
Yes. Jukebox tracks are included in The Shop's selection. Browse the music rewards and check the listing for the track you want before selecting missions to fund it.
The Jukebox lets you choose music to play during races. A track purchase therefore adds another option for your race soundtrack, separate from vehicle customization or character unlocks.
Music also has a performance reward route
Time Trial performance can unlock additional Jukebox music. Keep those rewards in mind if your goal is to expand your music collection while improving your course times.
For a particular Shop track, use its displayed purchase requirement. For music earned through Time Trials, work toward the relevant performance reward instead of saving currency for it.
Where do you buy returning Festival Gadgets?
Six former Festival reward Gadgets become purchasable with Donpa Tickets in Ver. 2.0.0. Use Customize Gadgets for these purchases, and reach Master Plate or higher first.
| Returning Gadget | Required plate | Currency |
|---|---|---|
| Speedy Shortcut Kit | Master Plate or higher | Donpa Tickets |
| Perfect Charge Kit | Master Plate or higher | Donpa Tickets |
| 4th Stage Charge Kit | Master Plate or higher | Donpa Tickets |
| Air Trick Action Kit | Master Plate or higher | Donpa Tickets |
| Slipstream Kit | Master Plate or higher | Donpa Tickets |
| Spin Dash Kit | Master Plate or higher | Donpa Tickets |
Reach the purchase requirement
Under the lowered Ver. 2.0.0 requirements, Master Plate unlocks after 28 races. Once you reach it, open the customization screen and select the returning kit you want.
Keep this purchase route in mind when budgeting tickets. These are Gadget purchases with a plate requirement, not another cosmetic category to browse in the new storefront.
Will The Shop's lineup change over time?
Yes. The Shop's lineup will be updated over time. Recheck its selection when choosing a new goal, and use the current listing to establish the amount you need.
Decide what deserves your tickets next
Friendships are another ticket expense outside the storefront. After completing the seven main Grand Prix, you can access Friendship through Extras and spend tickets to raise a character's Friendship meter. Its rewards include titles, decals, and AI Racer skins.
Choose your next purchase around the result you want: a setup change, a particular racer, a cosmetic, or more music. Check that reward's currency and unlock route, then select an earning activity that directly advances it.
