Getting 100% completion in Valor Mortis does not require multiple runs. You can unlock all 39 achievements and trophies in a single playthrough, as the game allows for free roam after you defeat the final boss. Focus on finishing side quests as you find them and keep an eye out for upgrade materials, as these are the only items that can limit your progress toward a platinum trophy.
How to avoid missable trophies?
The only missable trophy in the game is Abyssal Eviction. You need the Shield ability upgraded to level 5 to perform the required bash, but the game world only contains two Quintessential Transmutation Materials. If you spend both on Fire and Stasis upgrades before grabbing the Shield, you cannot finish this challenge. Save one of these materials specifically for your Shield to ensure you stay on track for the platinum.
| Feature | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Total Trophies | 39 (1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 14 Silver, 21 Bronze) |
| Playthroughs | 1 |
| Missable | Abyssal Eviction (Shield upgrade limit) |
| Free Roam | Yes, available after final boss |

How to maximize your weapons?
To earn the Bladesmith, Gun of Glory, and Transmutation Artifex trophies, you must max out one item in each category. Since upgrade materials like Masterwork Firearm Parts are rare, you should plan your build early. If you need help deciding which gear to prioritize, check out our Valor Mortis Guide: All Boss Locations to see which weapons excel against specific enemy types.
What are the best combat tips?
Combat trophies like Symphony of Steel and God's Trigger require precision. For Symphony of Steel, you must land 10 parries without taking damage. Using the Rapier is highly recommended here, as its parry window is more forgiving than other melee weapons. If your QB keeps getting hit or you find your parry timing off, head to an early-game area to practice against basic soldiers.

Perfect parry timing is key
- God's Trigger: Focus on the Musket or Pistol for consistent headshots.
- Hood-Snatcher: Group three enemies in the barn and use the Claymore heavy attack.
- Single Stroke: Target the bucket on the Risen Grenadier when it reaches in to throw a grenade.
How to complete the Monster Hunt quest?
Finding all 17 drawings for the Monster Hunt quest is necessary for The Book of Beasts achievement. These are located throughout the City of Orphans. For a complete list of where to find every drawing, see our Valor Mortis Monster Hunt Quest: All 17 Drawing Locations.
If you want to clear your remaining achievements quickly, remember that Valor Mortis is a single-player experience designed to let you return to any region at your leisure. Whether you are hunting for the final Amber or finishing the last combat challenge, take your time and use the Lanterns to your advantage.
