There is no shortcut here. Stay involved in fights around active objectives and keep an assault rifle equipped. Assault is not the most urgent tree to rush because other roles unlock equipment that changes how a whole squad operates, but it levels naturally as long as you stay in the fight.

How to level Medic fast
Medic is one of the easiest roles to level while also earning steady cash. The core rule: heal and revive other players, not yourself. Healing items used on teammates generate Medic progress. Using them only on yourself does not provide the same return.
The Defibrillator at Level 11 is the main milestone to target. It speeds up revives significantly and makes you a much more valuable squad member. Carry Bandages early and stick with larger groups so there are always injured teammates nearby.
Wandering alone as Medic is the biggest XP killer. More teammates means more opportunities to heal, revive, and keep progress moving.
How to level Support fast
Support is arguably the most valuable early tree in the game. It leads into explosives, construction tools, machine guns, and anti-vehicle equipment, and most of those unlocks arrive before Level 20.
The RPG-7 at Level 5 is the first major target. Once you have it, start looking for enemy vehicles and helicopters to destroy. Vehicle kills generate strong Support XP and the RPG-7 opens that up early.
Building and supplying FOBs also provides steady progress between vehicle opportunities. After the Large Hammer unlocks at Level 8, you can spend more time constructing defenses and emplacements, which stacks XP while directly helping your team hold ground.
Carry C4 whenever possible. Enemy vehicles appear unexpectedly during matches, and having explosives ready means you can capitalize immediately rather than watching the opportunity roll past.
How to level Recon fast
Recon starts slowly but accelerates once spotting tools and better rifles unlock. The key early insight is that you do not need a good weapon to start earning Recon XP. Binoculars are available from the start and spotting enemies generates XP immediately.
Mark everything you can see: players, vehicles, equipment. When marked targets get killed by teammates, you earn XP from the assist. The Monocular at Level 2 makes spotting easier to manage in the field, and the SKS at Level 5 gives you a real combat option at range.
One underused trick: stay near teammates running anti-air weapons and keep enemy helicopters spotted. When a marked helicopter gets destroyed, the Recon player collects XP from the assist without firing a single shot.

How to level Driver fast

The Large Supply Crate unlocks at Driver Level 16 in Season 1, moved earlier than it was during the beta. Keep moving rather than sitting at spawn waiting for passengers. If nobody needs a ride, run supplies to an active FOB instead.
Later in the grind, joining a tank crew provides Driver XP with considerably more combat action than standard supply runs.
How to level Pilot fast
Pilot XP comes from flying and supporting the team from the air. The simplest starting method is carrying passengers toward the fight. Empty trips are wasted trips, so use them to move supplies to FOBs instead.

What is the best XP route for beginners?
Instead of grinding one role from start to finish, run several tracks forward in the same match. Season 1 XP requirements are steep, especially from Levels 10 to 20, so mixing roles makes the grind feel less repetitive and keeps your kit flexible.
A practical early routine:
- Equip an assault rifle for kills (Assault XP).
- Carry Bandages or a Resuscitator and heal teammates (Medic XP).
- Keep Binoculars in your loadout and mark enemies (Recon XP).
