007 First Light' Review: James Bond ...

007 First Light hides 36 playing cards across its chapters, and tracking them all down earns you the Casino Royale trophy or achievement. These aren't your typical glowing collectibles sitting in plain sight. Several require gadgets, safe codes, and a willingness to backtrack through areas you'd normally sprint past. The good news: nothing is missable. Chapter Select lets you return to any checkpoint, and cards save the moment you pick them up, so you can quit out immediately after grabbing one without losing progress.

How do you track collectibles in 007 First Light?

There's no per-chapter collectible counter, only a type-based tracker accessible by pressing the Touchpad. That means you can see how many cards you've found total, but you won't know which specific chapters still have gaps without a guide like this one. Use Chapter Select to jump directly to the checkpoint listed for each card below, grab it, and quit. Rinse and repeat.

Chapter 1: Against the Odds

Card 1: 7 of Acorns Checkpoint 04 (Deployment Camp) | Objective: Move the BT-65 After the cutscene where two guys crash a car and ask you to move it, look at the shelves to the right of the remote. The card is sitting right there.

Chapter 5: A New Home

Card 2: Under of Acorns Checkpoint 02 (Advanced Training) | Objective: Enter the training grounds Proceed through the training area until you hack open the first gate. Once it's open, turn around and backtrack to the start of the area. Climb the stairs to the platform where Greenway explained the rules earlier. The card is on the ledge straight ahead. You can't access the stairs before opening the gate.

Card 3: 7 of Roses Checkpoint 10 (Search the compound) | Objective: Steal the flag Head to the pier area and find the large double door by the stairs. Kick it in (which alerts nearby enemies) or grab the key from an enemy on the stairs. Through the door, the card is on a set of pallets in the room with 3 enemies.

Chapter 6: A Night Out

Card 4: Ober of Bells Checkpoint 05 (Get upstairs) | Objective: Get to the upstairs lounge In the disco room, go behind the stage and climb the scaffolding backstage. Cross the pipes and the card is on the ground just before the jump across to the second floor. Track the "Above and beyond" objective via the Touchpad if you need a pointer.

Chapter 8: All the Time in the World

Card 5: Ace of Acorns Checkpoint 02 (In Position) | Objective: Investigate the blond man After parking the car and continuing on foot, go up the stairs, then turn left and head down the next staircase. The card is on the railing.

Card 6: Ober of Shields Checkpoint 03 (The game is on) | Objective: Search the hotel Enter the large room with many guests, head left, and go down the staircase. Turn left again at the bottom, walk down the corridor, and enter the room labeled "Dining Room" on the left. Check the table in the back left corner. The card sits on a white-clothed dining table and blends in easily.

Card 7: 6 of Roses Checkpoint 03 (The game is on) | Objective: Search the hotel Go downstairs to reception and through the white door directly behind the desk. Reach the Manager's Office in the back right corner of the restricted area by distracting the guard or slipping through the Staff Only room with the two maids. Open the safe under the desk using code 1952 (the year on the middle wine bottle in the room). The card is inside.

Card 8: 6 of Acorns Checkpoint 08 (Delivery Area) | Objective: Pursue the blond man After the story takes you through room 206, enter the service corridor with the large blue power cable. Go through the door at the end and turn left onto the terrace. The card is on a table. This area is locked until this specific objective triggers.

Card 9: 7 of Bells Checkpoint 10 (The vanishing) | Objective: Pursue the blond man After solving the dining room puzzle (Lion, then Snake, then Goat), you'll drop into a dark cellar. Vault over the first table, then turn left into a room with prison bars. The card is on the crate before you squeeze through the gap.

Chapter 10: The Past Never Dies

Card 10: 6 of Bells Checkpoint 02 (Arriving at Aleph) | Objective: Follow Greenway After exiting the car, head into the shipwreck market and take the left path. The card is in the bathroom.

Card 11: 9 of Acorns Checkpoint 03 (Black Market) | Objective: Obtain auction fee Go downstairs to the market and turn right toward the area with two guards and an eavesdrop opportunity. The card is inside the fish tank near the guards. Destroy the tank using the Laser gadget on your Q-Watch to retrieve it.

Card 12: Ober of Acorns Checkpoint 03 (Black Market) | Objective: Obtain auction fee From the market entrance ramp, head left to find a large red anchor in the ground and a fenced-in area. Past the fence is a parked truck. Behind the truck is a wall panel. Break it open with the Laser gadget to find the card inside.

Card 13: Ace of Roses Checkpoint 03 (Black Market) | Objective: Obtain auction fee Backtrack to the market entrance ramp, then go straight through the market and into the tunnel to reach the Fight Club. On the upper floor, take the exit left of the bar to reach a roof with training equipment. The card is in the small corner room, on a box.

Card 14: Banner of Shields Checkpoint 07 (Find 009) | Objective: Find 009 During the section where you disarm tripwires on a ship, go up the right staircase and immediately turn around. The card is at the front of the upper deck.

Card 15: 6 of Shields Checkpoint 10 (Find a way inside the shipwreck) | Objective: Follow the clues Inside the shipwreck, after hoisting up a chain and using a zipline to cross to the other side, proceed forward. The card is on a barrel in front of the blue pipe you need to climb to lower the drawbridge.

Chapter 11: Uninvited

Card 16: 8 of Acorns Checkpoint 04 (Gala Entrance) | Objective: Enter the Webb gala In the first hall of the Gala, check the back right corner to the right of the reception desk. The card is on a stone bench.

Card 17: Ober of Roses Checkpoint 05 (Get upstairs) | Objective: Find the assassin After using the invitation to enter the Gala room, turn immediately left and enter the side hallway. Turn left again at the end to find a guard in a white shirt blocking a restricted Cloakroom. Distract him with the Dartphone or Laser, sneak past into the Cloakroom, turn right to squeeze through the gap, kick down the door, and head upstairs. Defeat the enemies in the room. The card is on a white box in the middle of the room.

Card 18: King of Shields Checkpoint 09 (Storage room) | Objective: Escape with Isola (Check the doors) After getting freed from the chair, turn around. The card is on top of the table behind you.

Card 19: 8 of Roses Checkpoint 09 (Storage room) | Objective: Reach the adjacent balcony After jumping across the light rig to the other balcony, go right. The card is on a table.

Card 20: 9 of Shields Checkpoint 10 (The courtyard) | Objective: Escape the courtyard Drop into the courtyard and head to the ground floor dining hall in the back right corner of the starting area. Find the vent near the piano and crawl through it. Use the Laser gadget to break the padlock on the maintenance room door, or enter code 3256 (found on the laptop in the library). The card is on a box inside.

Chapter 12: Knightfall

Card 21: Banner of Roses Checkpoint 02 (Executive 1st Floor) | Objective: Reach the Perch / Find a way inside Once you reach Level 2, head to the end of the hallway and enter the "Maintenance" room on the right. Open the ceiling vent with the Laser Strap and climb in. The card is on the floor inside the vent.

Card 22: Banner of Bells Checkpoint 02 (Executive 1st Floor) | Objective: Reach the east wing After speaking with Greenway at the railing in front of the two waterfalls, climb over the railing and shimmy along the ledge between them to the other side. Immediately after climbing up, turn left and hack the door sensor inside the locked room. Wait for Greenway to open it from the other side. The card is on the billiard table.

Card 23: 7 of Shields Checkpoint 02 (Executive 1st Floor) | Objective: Get to the Penthouse After going up to Level 3 with Greenway, find the office labeled "Bohr" near the end of the hallway on the left. Turn left and hack the door to the adjacent "Einstein" office. The card is on the desk inside.

Card 24: King of Acorns Checkpoint 02 (Executive 1st Floor) | Objective: Get to the Penthouse After obtaining the Security Access Key, return to the Einstein office area and backtrack toward the start of the Level 3 hallway. Use the Security Access Key to open the side doors to the balcony. The card is on the table outside.

Card 25: Under of Shields Checkpoint 09 (Cargo floor) | Objective: Locate the helicopter When you reach the stairs leading to the flight deck, go down instead of up. The card is on a crate at the bottom.

Chapter 14: Time to Die

Card 26: Banner of Acorns Checkpoint 03 (A Package from Q) | Objective: Open package from Q Once inside the villa, go upstairs and head down the hallway on the right into the bathroom. The card is on the sink counter.

Card 27: 8 of Shields Checkpoint 05 (The three targets) | Objective: Plant Q-Traks Follow the signs to the Tranquility platform next to the Ocean View Bar. The card is on top of a lantern near the edge.

Card 28: 9 of Roses Checkpoint 05 (The three targets) | Objective: Plant Q-Traks From the Tranquility platform, head down the stairs into Tranquility Cave. Near the end, find the person on the phone and eavesdrop. Use the Dart Phone to pickpocket the Storage Key, then unlock the nearby door. The card is on the shelf to the left inside.

Card 29: Under of Bells Checkpoint 05 (The three targets) | Objective: Reach Ramon Hernandez Inside the Hung Villa, go upstairs to where you speak with Ramon Hernandez. Enter the bathroom to find the card on the sink counter.

Card 30: King of Roses Checkpoint 05 (The three targets) | Objective: Plant Q-Traks Follow signs to Lotus Bar. Coming out of Ramon's villa, go straight and take the next left. The card is on the counter at the back of the bar.

Chapter 16: Wave of the Future

Card 31: Under of Roses Checkpoint 03 (The gantries) | Objective: Reach the gate house After clearing the first set of enemies and entering the building, the card is at the end of the hallway before you climb the yellow scaffolding.

Card 32: Ace of Bells Checkpoint 04 (The gate house) | Objective: Access the cable car After reaching the cable car, go up the stairs on the right side and turn around at the top. The card is on one of the couches on the left.

Card 33: 9 of Bells Checkpoint 08 (Robotics Department) | Objective: Get into Utility From the Robotics entrance, go straight to the Utility door, then turn right. The card is on a box.

Chapter 17: For England

Card 34: King of Bells Checkpoint 03 (Null Space) | Objective: Reach the red phone After speaking with the wounded woman, go through the door to the next area. Enter the room straight ahead. The card is on the table.

Card 35: Ace of Shields Checkpoint 08 (Moneypenny's pod) | Objective: Locate Moneypenny Once you reach Moneypenny's office area, kick down the door to the office on the left. The card is on the table inside.

Card 36: 8 of Bells Checkpoint 12 (THEIA) | Objective: Get to THEIA After dropping through an elevator and defeating the 3 enemies, the card is on the desk to the right.

What trophy does collecting all cards unlock?

Grabbing all 36 cards earns the Casino Royale trophy and achievement. This is one of several type-specific collectible trophies in the game. Collecting every single collectible across all five types (Cards, Intel, Mementos, Postcards, and Legacy Items) also contributes toward a broader completionist achievement.

Which cards are the easiest to miss?

A few cards deserve extra attention because their locations are genuinely unintuitive:

  • Card 7 (6 of Roses) in Chapter 8 requires entering a safe code (1952) you have to find by examining wine bottles in the same room. Most players walk right past the safe.
  • Cards 11 and 12 in Chapter 10 both need the Laser gadget to destroy a fish tank and break a wall panel respectively. Skipping the Chapter 9 Q-Lab stop locks you out of both.
  • Card 17 (Ober of Roses) in Chapter 11 involves distracting a guard, squeezing through a gap, kicking down a door, and clearing a room of enemies before the card becomes accessible. It's the most involved pickup in the game.
  • Card 20 (9 of Shields) in Chapter 11 offers two routes: the vent and Laser gadget path, or the keypad code 3256 found on a library laptop. Either works, but both require knowing the room exists.
