Every creature you want in Aniimo requires an Aniipod to catch, and the one you throw matters more than most players realize early on. There are 8 types in total, ranging from a basic 1x capture cube you start with to the Sparkling Cube, which guarantees a catch and locks in Perfect Potential. Knowing which pods to stock, which to save, and where to actually find the rarer ones will save you a lot of frustration once you start hunting harder targets.
What are all the Aniipods in Aniimo?
The 8 Aniipods split into three practical tiers: basic pods you'll burn through constantly, mid-tier pods with special mechanics, and rare guaranteed-catch pods you should never waste on a common creature. Here's every type with its capture effect:
Aniipod
Capture Rate
Special Effect
Aniipod
1x
None
Aniipod Pro
1.5x
None
Aniipod Mega
2x
None
Aniipod Track
2x
Homes in automatically on nearby targets
Aniipod Hyper
2x
Increased toss speed
Tumbler
2x (6x in Wild Surge)
Captures multiple Aniimo at once
Aniipod Ultra
Guaranteed
Caught Aniimo has Elite Potential or higher
Sparkling Cube
Guaranteed
Caught Aniimo has Perfect Potential and Sparkling status
The Tumbler deserves a specific callout. Its base 2x rate looks unremarkable until a Wild Surge kicks in, at which point it jumps to 6x and can net multiple creatures in a single throw. If you're sitting on Tumblers, hold them for those windows.
tip
The Aniipod Ultra and Sparkling Cube both guarantee a catch, but they serve different goals. Ultra is for locking in Elite Potential on a strong creature. Sparkling Cube is for Perfect Potential plus the Sparkling mutation. Don't use either on creatures you'd replace in an hour.
The standard Aniipod comes from practically everywhere: level-up rewards, quest completions, chests, home production, and world exploration. You can buy it from the Credit Shop for 2,000–3,500 Credits or from Super Claw for 3,500 Credits.
Aniipod Pro requires learning the Pro Catcher talent first, which unlocks at Student I immediately after the prologue. Once you have it, Pro is available through Elite Training, level-up rewards, quests, home production, chests, and exploration. Credit Shop price is 4,000 Credits; Super Claw charges 7,000.
Mega tier
Aniipod Mega needs the Master Catcher talent, available at Student III. Beyond the usual sources (Elite Training, level-ups, quests, chests), it also appears as a course reward. Credit Shop price sits at 6,000 Credits, with Super Claw at 10,500.
Track and Hyper
These two are the most restricted in terms of acquisition. Aniipod Track and Aniipod Hyper are only available through the Companion Handbook or purchased at Super Claw for 7,200 Credits each. Master Catcher is required for the Super Claw purchase. If you're not progressing the Companion Handbook through Daily Activity missions, you're cutting yourself off from one of the only consistent sources for both.
warning
Don't skip Daily Activity missions if you want Aniipod Track or Hyper. The Companion Handbook is one of the only places to get them, and there's no shortcut around it.
Tumbler
The Tumbler has the widest acquisition path of any rare pod. It drops from Elite Training, the Nurture Branch, and Holo-Battle Interlink, and it's a possible quest reward. You can also buy it from the Credit Shop for 200,000 Credits or from Super Claw for 100,000 Credits. Master Catcher is required for shop purchases. The Credit Shop price is steep, so treat quest and training drops as your primary supply.

Ultra and Sparkling Cube
Aniipod Ultra comes from Elite Training or can be purchased for 200 Glimmer, 200 Lumin Crystals, or exchanged at a rate of 20 Aniipod Ultra Vouchers.
The Sparkling Cube is the rarest pod in the game. Sources include Elite Training, the Companion Handbook, the Shop for 1,500 Lumin Crystals, the Stamp Rush Shop for 500 Windborn Stamps, or via item exchange at 1,000 Sparkling Crystals. Every one of these costs significant resources, so treat each Sparkling Cube as a deliberate investment rather than a casual throw.
Pairing a Sparkling Cube with strong capture prep makes a real difference. Check out the Aniimo catching guide for stealth bonuses and Sparkling-specific methods that stack with your pod choice.
Where is Super Claw and how do you use it?
Super Claw sits west of Horizon Square on Astra, directly east of the Mysterious Vendor. Reaching it physically is easy. Actually buying from it requires the right talent: Pro Catcher for Aniipod Pro, Master Catcher for everything above that. Without those talents unlocked, the advanced pods simply won't be available for purchase.
What's the best way to use rare Aniipods?
The answer comes down to target quality. Basic Aniipods are expendable, throw them freely on common creatures and refill from exploration. Once you move into Mega and Track territory, start being selective. Reserve Ultra for rare or hard-to-reach creatures where Elite Potential matters for your team. Sparkling Cubes should only go toward targets you've already identified as long-term keepers, ideally ones that fit into a strong team composition.
For players building toward end-game, knowing which creatures are actually worth a Sparkling Cube is half the battle. The Aniimo tier list breaks down which creatures rank highest across DPS, Break, Support, and Heal roles so you're not burning rare pods on creatures you'll bench later.
If you're still working through the early game and want a broader picture of what to prioritize, the full Aniimo guides collection covers everything from team building to Alpha locations so you can plan your pod usage around the creatures that actually matter for your progression.
