The best places to find Mushrooms in ARC Raiders are the forest between Little Hangar and East Container Yard on Spaceport, and the Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds. Choose Spaceport for a focused tree sweep, or Dam Battlegrounds for several search areas and backup locations.

You need 12 Mushrooms for Scrappy’s final upgrade, so protecting each pickup matters more than stretching one raid into a map-wide hunt. Check tree trunks, fallen logs, and the edges of water pools, then secure what you find before moving on.

Update context: This guide covers ARC Raiders during the Frozen Trail update, October 2026.

How many Mushrooms should you save for Scrappy?

Keep your first 12 Mushrooms for Scrappy Level 5, the Master Hoarder upgrade. This final tier improves the materials Scrappy brings back between raids, making it a better priority than selling your early Mushroom finds.

Spaceport is especially useful because Mushrooms and Apricots grow in the same forest pocket. If you still need the fruit portion of the upgrade, use the Lemons and Apricots farming guide to plan those pickups alongside your Mushroom search.

Which map should you choose for Mushroom farming?

Dam Battlegrounds offers the strongest selection of established search spots. Spaceport is the better choice when you want to check a small area rather than sweep several landmarks.

MapWhere to searchChoose it when
SpaceportForest between Little Hangar and East Container Yard; tree beside Trench Hatch EastYou want a focused run, especially if you also need Apricots
Dam BattlegroundsHydroponic Dome Complex, Wreckage, western swamp, and Water Treatment ControlYou want several fallback locations

Blue GateAround Raider’s RefugeYou have another objective nearby
Buried CityNo reliable farming hotspotSkip it for dedicated Mushroom runs

A normal targeted run through the main Dam Battlegrounds or Spaceport spots can yield around 3-4 Mushrooms. Spawns vary, and other Raiders may reach them first, so build your plan around repeatable searches rather than one perfect haul.

How should you prepare your Mushroom loadout?

Use a custom loadout with a Safe Pocket, then move Mushrooms into it as soon as you collect them. Safe Pocket contents remain protected if you die, which makes each successful pickup count toward the 12-Mushroom target.

An empty custom loadout gives you one Safe Pocket without putting equipped gear at risk. That suits resource-only runs, although it leaves you without the equipment you would otherwise bring.

Protect your Mushroom pickups

Mushrooms stack to 10 and weigh 0.2 kg each. The 12 needed for Scrappy exceed one stack, so remember that distinction when managing your protected storage.

Where can you find Mushrooms on Spaceport?

Search the forest between Little Hangar and East Container Yard

Your main target is the small wooded pocket south of Little Hangar, between the hangar and East Container Yard, above Rocket Assembly. Search the trees rather than spending the run opening industrial containers.

Use this compact sweep:

  • Inspect the tree trunks for Mushrooms.
  • Harvest any Mushrooms you find and move them into your Safe Pocket.
  • Check the Apricot trees in the same patch if you still need Scrappy materials.
  • Sweep toward Rocket Assembly before heading to extraction.

This forest is useful for players working on Master Hoarder because it combines two required resources in one area. It also has a nearby Raider Hatch, giving you an extraction option after the search.

Check the tree beside Trench Hatch East

Another focused Spaceport stop is the small trench beside Trench Hatch East. Drop into the trench and inspect the Mushroom-bearing tree, which can provide three Mushrooms.

Other Raiders also farm this tree, so approach alertly and protect your pickups immediately. If the spot has already been harvested, the Little Hangar forest gives you another defined area to check instead of searching Spaceport at random.

How do you search the Hydroponic Dome Complex?

The Hydroponic Dome Complex sits north of Water Treatment Control on Dam Battlegrounds. Its advantage is the combination of indoor and outdoor spawns, but the complex is marked as a high-threat area, so do not mistake a productive farming spot for a free shopping trip.

Locate the Hydroponic domes

Check the pools, planters, and fallen trees

Inside the domes, inspect the edges of the rectangular water pools and irrigation planters. Search behind containers and soil pots, too, because Mushrooms can be hidden along the interior perimeter.

Follow this search order:

  1. Walk the indoor perimeter and inspect the pool edges.
  2. Look behind containers and planters rather than checking only the open floor.
  3. Head south outside toward the waterline and inspect the large fallen tree.
  4. Check the second fallen tree on the western side of the dome.

Indoor and outdoor spawns can alternate. Finding nothing around the pools is your cue to check the logs, not abandon the complex. Some poolside spots also share spawns with Great Mullein, so an occupied plant spot will not always contain Mushrooms.

Use nearby backup areas selectively

If the domes are empty, Wreckage, southwest of the Testing Annex, offers another search area. Look for the destroyed Baron, then inspect fallen logs and dead trees around the larger debris.

The western swamp around South Swamp Outpost and Old Battleground also has Mushroom-bearing trunks and logs. Rain and darkness make them harder to spot, so use your flashlight and scan the bases of trees carefully.

At Water Treatment Control, check pipes along the upper corridors leading toward the main tower building. These spawns are inconsistent, making this a passing check rather than a reason to cross the map.

Which map modifiers increase Mushroom finds?

Prioritize Lush Blooms for Nature loot

Lush Blooms increases Nature loot and lasts 45 minutes. Mushroom clusters can provide 2-3 items instead of one, and Wicker Baskets can contain Mushrooms alongside other Nature resources.

Check World Modifiers before choosing your raid. Lush Blooms on Spaceport or Dam Battlegrounds is especially useful because you can combine increased Nature loot with the established tree and dome searches.

Take advantage of Cold Snap when it is active

Cold Snap can also increase Mushroom yields, including at the Spaceport forest. Its cold-weather hazard changes the cost of lingering, so keep your search focused on the trees and extraction rather than extending the raid indefinitely.

Cold Snap also makes Candleberries relevant to your gathering plans. If those are on your shopping list, check the best Candleberry farming locations before choosing where to spend the raid.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the Hydroponic Dome Complex after checking indoors. Search the outdoor fallen trees before deciding the area is empty.
  • Choosing Buried City for a dedicated Mushroom run. It has no reliable hotspot, while Spaceport and Dam Battlegrounds have defined search areas.
  • Using a free loadout while relying on protected storage. Free loadouts lack the Safe Pocket that makes resource-only runs forgiving.
  • Selling Mushrooms before saving 12. Their 1,000 Raider Coin sell value is less useful when Master Hoarder is still waiting on its materials.

Pro tips

Use short raids to bank steady progress

Mushroom spawns have randomness, so an empty Spaceport tree does not justify searching every building on the map. Extract with what you find, bank it, and repeat the focused route rather than waiting for a full stack.

Adrenaline Shots can help when you spawn far from your target. They restore stamina to maximum and provide a burst of sprinting speed, making them useful for dedicated farming runs with long travel between your spawn and the trees.

Consider the Safe Pocket reset for resource-only runs

An empty custom loadout also supports a faster reset: collect Mushrooms, place them in your Safe Pocket, then select Surrender to return to the lobby with those protected contents. This is best for runs where secured Mushrooms are your only objective.

Frequently asked questions

Can you heal with Mushrooms?

Yes. A Mushroom heals 15 HP and has a 1-second use time. Save your first 12 for Scrappy unless you need the emergency healing to survive.

Can you sell Mushrooms?

Yes, each Mushroom sells for 1,000 Raider Coins. Selling surplus makes more sense after you have set aside the amount needed for Scrappy Level 5.

Do you still need seven Mushrooms for Flickering Flames?

The Meals phase of Flickering Flames required seven Mushrooms. That winter project ended on January 13, 2026, so it is no longer an active reason to stockpile them.

What should you collect alongside Mushrooms?

Apricots are the practical companion pickup in the Spaceport forest because Scrappy Level 5 also needs 12 of them. For your next material target, use the ARC Raiders resource guide collection to plan another focused run.
