Anvil Hill Mysterious Energy Puzzles ...

The Anvil Hill region of Crimson Desert sits east of Hernand and hides three Mysterious Energy puzzles that most players walk right past. Two are clustered near the top of the hill, and a third sits to the southwest on a sheer cliff face. None of them are obvious, and one requires a specific escape method to avoid getting stuck underground. Here's exactly where to find each one and how to clear them.

Where are all the Anvil Hill Mysterious Energy puzzles?

According to Game Rant's documentation of the region, there are exactly three Mysterious Energy spots in Anvil Hill:

  • Puzzle #1: Southwest of Anvil Hill, on top of a tall cliff
  • Puzzle #2: Inside a tunnel near the Wild Raiders Camp, accessed through a hole in the cliff wall
  • Puzzle #3: Underground in a cavern beneath an impact crater at the center of the Mysterious Energy icon

Anvil Hill Mysterious Energy #1: The cliff southwest of Anvil Hill

This one looks inaccessible at first glance, but the cliff is climbable.

  1. Make your way to the large sheer cliff southwest of Anvil Hill. You'll spot Bismuth ore nodes on the cliff face, which helps confirm you're in the right spot.
  2. Climb all the way to the top. The Abyss Cresset is sitting in an open field up there.
  3. Before you rush in, notice the purple stalks of grass scattered around the Cresset. These are poisonous and will kill you if you touch them.
  4. Navigate carefully through the grass and activate the Abyss Cresset to collect your Abyss Artifact and complete the puzzle.

Anvil Hill Mysterious Energy #2: The Wild Raiders Camp tunnel

This one requires dealing with enemies before you can access the puzzle safely.

  1. Head to the Wild Raiders Camp, which is packed with hostile enemies.
  2. Defeat the enemies or slip past them, then look for a hole in the side of the cliff nearby.
  3. Drop in and follow the narrow tunnel to its end.
  4. Activate the Abyss Cresset at the tunnel's end to earn another Abyss Artifact and complete puzzle #2.

Anvil Hill Mysterious Energy #3: The Stoneback Crab Cave

This is the most involved of the three, and getting out requires a specific technique.

  1. Go to the center of the Mysterious Energy icon on your map. You'll find a large impact crater.
  2. There's a hole in the middle of the crater floor. Drop down through it.
  3. You'll land in the Anvil Hill Stoneback Crab Cave, an underground cavern filled with Bloodstone ore deposits.
  4. Navigate to the end of the cavern and activate the Abyss Nexus to complete puzzle #3.

How do you escape the Stoneback Crab Cave?

This trips up a lot of players. The drop-in point is near the Bloodstone ore deposits. To get back out:

  1. Return to the area where you first dropped down.
  2. Step on top of the stone pillar near that spot.
  3. Jump from the pillar and use Force Palm three times in mid-air to reach the surface.

Without the Force Palm chain, you won't make the height. Don't waste time looking for another exit.
