Duskfade Review
6/10
Duskfade is a pleasant surprise from Weird Beluga. It won't unseat Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank, but it doesn't need to. The platforming feels good, the world is worth exploring, and there's genuine charm in how the whole thing is put together. The combat camera is a real problem, and the missing map will test your patience if you're going for full completion. But if you grew up loving this style of game and have been waiting for something to scratch that itch, Duskfade delivers more than it stumbles. Give it a chance.

Pros
Responsive, precise controls make platforming feel natural
Clockwork-inspired environments each have a distinct visual identity
Unlockable abilities keep traversal fresh throughout the game
Adjustable difficulty suits a range of skill levels
Cons
Camera lags badly during combat, especially against multiple enemies
Mandatory combat sections feel tiresome compared to the platforming
No map makes 100% completion an exercise in frustration
Story is predictable, even if the characters carry some charm
