FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE has 16 Limit Bursts spread across 8 characters, and knowing when to hold them versus when to fire is the difference between a clean boss kill and a wipe. Here's the short answer: every character starts with a 100% gauge move at level 1, and most learn a stronger 200% version later through leveling. Lid is the exception. Her second Limit Burst, Enterprise Airstrike, comes from story progression, not her skill list.

The pink LB gauge to watch
How does the Limit Burst system work?
The pink gauge beneath each character's HP and MP bar fills during battle. Once it hits 100%, that character's turn menu shows a purple Limit Bursts option. Characters who have learned a level 2 Limit Burst carry two gauges, so they can spend 100% on the first move or keep filling to 200% and use the stronger one.
The gauge fills in three ways:
- Staggering a single enemy adds 25%
- A sweeping stagger (all enemies at once) adds 50%
- Taking hits from enemies also builds it
Vision mastery abilities push the fill rate even further. Aileen's LB Charge Opener fills 50% at battle start, Terra's LB Double Charge doubles the fill rate, and the Onion Knight's LB Triple Charge triples it.

Crimson Onslaught hits every enemy
Which Limit Bursts actually change a fight?
Not all 16 are equal. Some are straightforward damage, but a handful flip the outcome of tough encounters.
Fina's Radiant Restoration is the most impactful recovery move in the game. It revives every KO'd ally and restores their HP for 200% gauge. Save it for boss fights where a multi-KO happens mid-stagger window.
Sakura's Eternal Veil puts a one-hit barrier on the entire party for just 100% gauge. That makes it one of the most efficient defensive tools available, especially before a boss's hardest telegraphed attack.
Nichol's Formation: Steeled Advance deals no damage at all, but it fills every ally's gauge as they act, for 3 actions per character. Fire it right as a boss breaks and your whole party can chain Limit Bursts through the stagger window. Mirroring Prism takes that further: every party member performs their chosen action twice, once per activation.
Lasswell's Null Moon makes its target easier to stagger for 3 turns. Use it near the start of a boss fight to help land the break faster, then follow with Rain's Infinity Drive, which deals 50% bonus damage to any staggered enemy. On Normal difficulty against Leviathan, Infinity Drive hits for roughly 6,030 on a staggered target compared to around 1,300 when the boss isn't staggered.
Sakura's Ultima and Enterprise Airstrike both carry a stagger value of 55, the highest of any Limit Burst in the game.
How to unlock Lid's second Limit Burst
This one trips people up. Lid's skill list only ever shows March of the Machines, so players assume her second Limit Burst is locked behind a level milestone they haven't hit yet.
It isn't. Enterprise Airstrike is tied to story progression, not character level. It becomes available after you defeat Lazarov aboard the Enterprise at the end of Chapter 4. The moment that fight ends, Lid gains the move regardless of her current level.
The move itself deals physical damage to all enemies with no elemental affinity. Its stagger value of 55 matches Sakura's Ultima, making it Lid's best option when you need to push a break. The trade-off is that it costs 200% gauge and offers no status effects, unlike March of the Machines which can inflict Confuse at 100% cost.
For building around Enterprise Airstrike, Visions with stagger damage mastery abilities (Squall and Clive are the relevant options here) increase its stagger output. Alternatively, stacking physical attack with strong Commando Visions and Bravery buffs gets more raw damage out of it. The Power Stone accessory helps you reach 200% gauge faster, which matters since the move takes longer to charge than March of the Machines.

Enterprise Airstrike unlocks at Chapter 4
Jake, Sakura, and Dark Fina: late-joining characters
These three join after the opening chapters and each arrives with at least one Limit Burst already available.
Jake starts with T.R.N.D., a Wind physical hit on a single enemy with a high critical rate. He learns Glücksschmied at level 30. That move's damage scales with his luck level, but the luck stat resets after use, so plan around it accordingly.
Sakura brings Eternal Veil from the moment she joins. Her level 35 upgrade, Sakura's Ultima, hits all enemies with non-elemental magic damage and carries that 55 stagger value.
Dark Fina starts with Chaotic Convergence (Dark magic, single target, stagger 25) and learns Abyss Graviton at level 35, which shares the same target and element but raises the stagger value to 40.
Dark Fina can also learn a third Limit Burst called Fel Meteor through the Archwitch's Grimoire, an item included with the Digital Deluxe Edition. Fel Meteor deals Dark magic damage to all enemies at 100% gauge cost, making it a notable exception to the usual pattern of level 2 moves costing 200%.

Radiant Restoration: full party revival
When should you spend 100% versus wait for 200%?
The mistake most players make is always holding for the 200% move. That's the wrong call in two situations.
First, if a fight is nearly over and the 100% move finishes it, spending 200% gauge on a dead enemy is a waste. Second, Nichol's Formation: Steeled Advance and Sakura's Eternal Veil both cost 100% and have no 200% equivalent that outperforms them in their role. Using them early frees up Nichol's gauge to refill for Mirroring Prism later.
For damage characters, the calculus is simpler. Hold for 200% in long boss fights where the stagger window gives you the full payoff. In shorter trash encounters or when an enemy is already staggered and nearly dead, the 100% move is fine.
