Players hopping into Chapter 7 Season 4 of Fortnite may have visited the Stone Sanctum location , a fortress made up of secret passageways and shifting walls. What the location does not make obvious is that it hides a secret vault full of legendary chests that drop high-rarity loot. Taking advantage of this early can help build a lead at the start of a match, so knowing how to access this vault is a powerful tool. Here is how to open the Stone Sanctum Vault in Fortnite: Override.
Find the Temple Vault Keys
To access the secret vault, players must find both Temple Vault Key items. On either side of Stone Sanctum are towers that contain these keys , one at the southwest corner and one at the northeast. Climb to the top of one of these towers and walk around the edge of the platform until a small container appears on the ground.
These containers only appear once you are close to them. Destroying the container will drop a Temple Vault Key.
Insert the Keys into the Fountain Disks
Once a Temple Vault Key is picked up, a blue arrow will appear in the air pointing toward the fountain in the center of Stone Sanctum. Follow the arrow to find a glowing disk on the side of the fountain. There are two disks, each on opposite sides of the fountain. Walk up to one and interact with it to insert the Temple Vault Key into the disk.
With the first key inserted, head to the other tower and repeat the entire process , climb to the top, locate and destroy the small container, pick up the second Temple Vault Key, and insert it into the remaining disk on the fountain.
Open the Vault and Loot the Chests
Once both Temple Vault Keys are inserted into the fountain disks, the water surrounding the fountain will drain and the vault will become accessible.
Once open, all players in the match have access to the inside of the vault. Inside you will find:
- Three legendary chests that drop high-rarity loot
- A Chaos Cube tied to one of the Override story quests
Loot the chests quickly to secure powerful gear and use it to fight for a Victory Royale.
