Wanted Posters are one of Gotham's most rewarding side activities in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Each poster tasks you with hunting down scattered pieces across the city's islands, then tracking and apprehending a criminal. There are 7 Wanted Posters in total, scattered across Gotham's districts, and completing them all makes up a substantial portion of the game's collectible content.
How do Wanted Posters work?
The system is simple but has a few moving parts that can confuse players on their first attempt. Here's the complete process:
- Find a Wanted Poster bulletin board in the open world, or pick up scattered wanted poster pieces nearby.
- Gather all 3 pieces for that poster.
- Head back to the bulletin board and put the poster together.
- Compare the assembled pieces to the LEGO figurine on the board to figure out who the suspect is.
- Open your map to see the criminal's general location marker.
- Hunt down and arrest the criminal to finish the activity.
Every Wanted Poster in the game uses this exact structure, so after you've knocked out the first one during the Chapter 1 main quest, the rest will feel routine.

All the Wanted Poster Locations
The 7 Wanted Posters are spread across Gotham's island districts. Tricorner Island has at least 2 separate posters, and Old Gotham splits into a South and North poster. The table below covers the known named poster locations.

Tricorner Island Wanted Poster 1
This is the first Wanted Poster in the game and serves as a main quest objective during the Tricorner Investigation in Chapter 1. You'll complete this one naturally during the story, and it also acts as the tutorial for the entire system. Talk to Rene Montoya to start it.
Tricorner Island Wanted Poster 2
A second poster is located on Tricorner Island as a standalone open world collectible. You'll already know the island's layout from the Chapter 1 quest, so tracking down the 3 pieces here should go faster than your first attempt.
Old Gotham South and North Wanted Posters
Old Gotham splits into two separate poster activities, one in the southern section and one in the north. These are open world collectibles with no story requirement beyond unlocking the Wanted Poster system through Rene Montoya's Chapter 1 quest.
Tips for collecting Wanted Poster pieces efficiently
After working through multiple posters, a few habits speed up the whole process:
- Grab nearby pieces first. The game flags loose poster pieces even before you've located the bulletin board. Collecting them early cuts down on backtracking.
- Use the map marker. After assembling the poster, the criminal's location shows up on the map. Don't waste time wandering around.
- Match the figurine carefully. The bulletin board shows a LEGO figurine to help you identify the suspect. Take a second to match it correctly before heading out.
- Finish the arrest. The activity only counts as complete after you apprehend the criminal, not when you assemble the poster.
What else is there to collect in Gotham?
