Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight ...

The Riddler doesn't make anything easy in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and the Tricorner region is no exception. Nine puzzles are spread across rooftops, parking lots, and waterfront areas, each requiring a different approach and sometimes a specific character you might not have with you. Some puzzles are straightforward once you know what to look for. Others will have you running between buildings hunting for a battery or a lamp you left in the previous room. This guide covers every Tricorner Riddler Puzzle location and exactly how to solve it.

What are the Tricorner Riddler Puzzles?

The Riddler Puzzles are collectible challenges scattered across Gotham City's distinct regions. The Tricorner region contains 9 puzzles total. Each one rewards you with a Riddler Trophy or puzzle box upon completion. Some puzzles lock you out until you have the right character on your team, so it's worth checking the requirements before you spend time hunting for a battery in the wrong area.

All Tricorner Riddler Puzzle Locations and Solutions

Puzzle 1 mirror room setup

Puzzle 1 mirror room setup

Puzzle 1: The mirror room (Riddle Me This mission)

This one appears during your first proper introduction to Gotham, while playing as Batman and Jim Gordon in the Riddler (Riddle Me This) mission. Speak with Harvey Bullock to get it started.

The puzzle runs across three connected rooms, all built around a mirror mechanic where you match real-world object positions to what the mirror reflects:

  • Room 1: Move the Teddy Bear from its starting pedestal to the one on the left side.
  • Room 2: Three items need to match the mirror's reflection. Use the Detect button to find them. Place the mannequin with the Riddler hat (hidden behind boxes on the right) on the left pedestal. Place the candlestick (upper left platforms) on the right pedestal. Grab the lamp from the back area and place it correctly. Then lower the piano at the back of the room, matching the mirror's reflection.
  • Room 3: Find the boombox in the back left behind piles of blocks. The lamp doesn't spawn here — bring it over from Room 2. Place both items correctly to complete the puzzle.

The Riddler Trophy sits behind the final mirror.

Puzzle 2: Northwest waterfront

Head to the northwest side of Tricorner, right where the land meets the water. You'll need Nightwing or Robin to Pry open the lock on the entrance.

Once the lock is off, a battery station is revealed. The battery itself is just to the right of the puzzle. Plug it in and water begins rising and leaking out of the side of the structure. Switch to Jim Gordon and use his Foam Sprayer to seal the leak. The prize pops out from the top once the water is contained.

Puzzle 3: Rooftop near the highway (west side)

This puzzle is on a rooftop in the center-west of Tricorner, close to the highway. The goal is to recreate the Riddler Symbol by activating hidden electrical panels around the area. The top and bottom sections are already filled in for you, so you're dealing with the middle rows.

  • Row 2: Find the water tower at coordinates 159, 183 to the north. Hit the targets on the northern electrical panel until the far right and far left symbols are lit.
  • Row 3: From the puzzle building, look south and jump down to a platform on the side of the same building. The panel is at coordinates 160, 173. Hit targets until only the far right symbol is lit.
  • Row 4: Jump west to the next building below. Find the electrical panel behind some crates at coordinates 156, 179. Light up the two middle symbols and the far right one.

Return to the rooftop and collect the puzzle box.

Puzzle 4: Southwest waterfront (Robin or Nightwing required)

This one is on the southwest side of Tricorner Island near the water. You'll want Robin or Nightwing for the Cable Launcher mechanic.

Head to the lower area on the northeast side of the building. Two battery stations are there: one large, one small.

  • Large station battery: Find it in the corner of the parking lot on the northeast side. This battery provides a single charge, which is exactly what the large station needs.
  • Small station battery: Go to the east corner of the Riddler Puzzle building and destroy the crate to find the hidden battery. It gives three charges, which matches the smaller station.

Once both stations are powered, stand between the panels and use Robin's or Nightwing's Cable Launcher to connect power to the center station. Head back to the top, destroy the container around the power station, and build the new device. Then use Robin's or Nightwing's staff to transfer electricity to the Riddler Puzzle cage.

Puzzle 5: Center island rooftop (large building)

Puzzle 5 sits on top of a large building at the center of Tricorner Island. The puzzle cube is surrounded by a live electrical circuit that detonates you instantly if you walk into it, costing studs.

A ventilation vent nearby blows air upward. Stand on it, deploy your glider to catch the lift, and navigate to the top of the water tower on the northeast side of the puzzle. Step on the button at the top of the water tower to cut the electricity. The puzzle cube is now safe to grab.

Having the right character ready before you approach a puzzle saves a lot of backtracking. Puzzles 2 and 4 in particular will stop you completely without the correct team composition.

Tips for tackling Tricorner efficiently

After working through these puzzles, a few patterns stand out that save time across the whole region:

  • Bring Jim Gordon whenever possible. His Foam Sprayer is required for Puzzle 2, and you won't find a substitute.
  • Check your coordinates. Puzzles 3 and 4 give specific coordinate markers for electrical panels. Use them. The panels aren't always visible from the puzzle itself.
  • Don't drop items between rooms. Puzzle 1 requires carrying the lamp from Room 2 into Room 3. Players who miss this spend ages looking for a lamp that doesn't exist in the third room.
  • The vent in Puzzle 5 is the only safe path. Walking directly toward the puzzle cube triggers the explosion. The vent lift and glider combo is the intended route.

For the full picture of what's hiding in Gotham beyond just Riddler Puzzles, the complete collectibles guide covers Surf Boards, Red Bricks, and every other pickup across every mission. If you're also working on all Red Brick locations, those are tracked separately and worth tackling alongside these puzzles since several are in the same areas. For everything else the game has to offer, the full LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight guide collection has you covered.
