The Party Man mission in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight hides all 5 Boombox collectibles across a single level, but several are tucked behind puzzles, destructible objects, and easy-to-miss corners. Miss even one and you're replaying the whole mission from scratch. This guide covers every Boombox in order, with the exact steps needed to grab each one without backtracking.
All Boombox Locations
Before getting into the step-by-step breakdown, here's a quick reference table covering every collectible in the mission, sourced from community documentation of the level.
All 5 Boomboxes can be collected in a single playthrough. There's no reason to split this across multiple runs if you follow the order below.
How to find all 5 Boomboxes in Party Man
Boombox 1: Behind the spawn point
The very first collectible is the one most players miss because the game's natural momentum pulls you forward. The moment the mission loads, spin the camera around and walk behind Batman's starting position instead of heading down the main hallway. The glowing Boombox sits directly behind the spawn point, completely out of the default forward sightline.
Pick it up before doing anything else. Once you move forward into the first combat sequence, the temptation to keep pushing means this one gets skipped.

Boombox 2: Under the staircase after the secret gate
Progress through the opening section and defeat the enemies blocking the hidden gate. Complete the required interaction to open it, which grants access to the staircase room beyond. The critical mistake here is climbing the stairs immediately.
Before going up, check the lower corner directly beneath the staircase structure. The second Boombox blends into the environment and is easy to walk past during the post-combat rush. Grab it at floor level before ascending.
Boombox 3: Inside the cabinet on the left wall
Once you're in the larger interior area, ignore the center of the room and move to the far-left wall. Several pieces of furniture and interactable objects line the edge here. Use Batman to break open the cabinet you'll find along that wall.
The Boombox only appears after the cabinet is fully destroyed, so don't just tap it once and move on. Smash it completely and the third collectible drops from inside.
The third Boombox won't appear until the cabinet is completely broken. A partial hit won't trigger the collectible spawn.
Boombox 4: Beside the Joker head after the cat puzzle
Head toward the rear section of the room where the cat-themed puzzle is located. If the puzzle interactions appear greyed out or unresponsive, clear all nearby enemies first since certain objects stay locked until the area is clean.
After completing the puzzle, look beside the large Joker head display in the same room. The fourth Boombox sits right next to the structure. Collect it before triggering the mission transition because leaving the room advances the level.

Boombox 5: In the new section after placing the Joker head
Carry the Joker head to the podium interaction point in the puzzle room and place it to unlock the next mission section. As soon as the new map area loads, stop moving and search the immediate entrance zone before engaging any enemies or objectives.
The fifth Boombox spawns near the entrance, close to Mona Lisa's painting. It's available the moment the transition completes, so the only way to miss it is rushing into the next combat sequence without checking the area around you.
Collect Boombox 5 before engaging any enemies in the new section. Getting pulled into combat near the transition point is the most common reason players miss the final collectible.
Does collecting all Boomboxes count toward 100% completion?
Yes. Boombox collectibles count toward overall mission completion and full game progression. Skipping any of the five means the Party Man mission won't register as fully complete, which affects your path to 100% in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
If you're going for full completion, Boomboxes are just one part of the picture. The all collectibles guide covers every collectible type across the full game, from Surf Boards to Red Bricks, organized mission by mission.
Replaying a missed mission is possible, but it requires running through the entire level again. Collecting everything in one pass is always faster.
