Marvel Rivals Season 10 finally breaks a seven-season drought on Domination maps with God Quarry, an ancient tomb of fallen gods pulled straight from Marvel comics. The map dropped with the September 24 update alongside Gorr the God Butcher, and the two arrivals are no coincidence. God Quarry is built around vertical play, tight corridors, and cliff edges that punish careless positioning. Three distinct sections, each with its own layout and personality, mean you need a different plan for every point. Here is everything you need to win.
God Quarry is a Domination map, which means teams fight to capture and hold a central Mission Area until the timer expires. It is a best-of-3 format: the first team to secure two of the three sections wins the match. Each section has its own layout, so the map never plays the same way twice across a single game.
The three sections are:

The central point in Confessional Eternity is wide open and accessible from multiple directions: the main middle path, an outdoor corridor, and the Altar area. That many entry points make passive defence a losing strategy. Sitting idle in the middle turns your team into targets from every angle.
When defending, assign one Vanguard to anchor the centre while the rest of your team holds the entry choke points, particularly the door leading to the outdoor area and the higher Altar platform. When attacking, split your approach across at least two entries simultaneously to overwhelm defenders.
The outdoor path is narrow, lined with statues, and loaded with Health Packs, making it the go-to recovery route when you are low. A raised platform on the side gives long-range characters a workable vantage point. The middle section opens into a blood pool with a cliff edge, which is a prime spot for characters who can knock enemies off the map.
The Altar is a quieter side path with higher platforms and a large cliff opening. Flankers pass through here to find openings, but it sees less sustained fighting than the outdoor route. There is one elevated sharpshooter position accessible by heading up the side stairs from spawn and continuing upward. Hela, Moon Knight, and Elsa Bloodstone can do serious work from that spot.
| Hero | Role | Why they work here |
|---|---|---|
| Hela | Duelist | Long-range burst from Altar platform |
| Moon Knight | Duelist | Consistent poke across open spaces |
| Spider-Man | Duelist | Fast multi-entry pressure |
| Elsa Bloodstone | Duelist | Strong cliff-edge push potential |
| Invisible Woman | Strategist | Knockback on wide cliff openings |
| The Thing | Vanguard | Anchors the open centre point |
| Angela | Vanguard | Aerial mobility to contest platforms |

The Halls of All-Knowing point sits in a large multi-floor area with a suspended wooden structure above it. That overhead platform creates attack angles from above, below, and the sides simultaneously. A large cliff drop on both the Xuanwu side and the Tower side adds constant off-map threat.
This section is genuinely built for Gorr the God Butcher. His teleport lets him move vertically and horizontally faster than almost any other hero, and the multi-platform layout gives him constant targets to chase. If the enemy team runs Gorr here and yours does not, you will feel it.
The closed side path leads to the Xuanwu area, where the nine-headed serpent statue stands. Three Health Packs sit within close range of each other here, making it the best recovery destination on this section. The elevated position overlooks the point and suits burst ranged characters like Phoenix and Hela who can shoulder-peek from cover.
The open side path has jump boosters that launch you to a higher tower platform. Black Widow, Hawkeye, and The Punisher thrive up there. The cliff opening on this side is even wider than the Xuanwu side, so Angela, Elsa Bloodstone, and Invisible Woman can threaten easy eliminations. To counter enemies entrenched on the tower, Gorr's teleport or Angela's flight gets you there fast enough to disrupt them before they deal too much damage.
| Hero | Role | Why they work here |
|---|---|---|
| Gorr the God Butcher | Duelist | Teleport dominates multi-floor layout |
| Angela | Vanguard | Flies to counter tower campers |
| Hela | Duelist | Xuanwu shoulder-peek burst |
| Emma Frost | Vanguard | Cliff knockback on wide openings |
| The Punisher | Duelist | Tower platform sharpshooter |
| Invisible Woman | Strategist | Knockback utility on both cliff sides |
| Jubilee | Strategist | Corridor support and poke |

House of Ideas is the narrowest section of the three, and the objective reflects that. The capture zone sits on the upper level of a square room with a high ceiling. There is a hole in the middle leading to a lower level, but that lower area does not count as part of the capture zone, so do not get dragged down there during a fight.
Unbreakable walls cover the hallway choke points, which forces long-range characters to push closer to the point before they can deal damage. Melee and mid-range heroes are at their best here. Captain America, Black Panther, Magik, and Daredevil all thrive in these tight quarters.
The outer balcony leads through side hallways to a small area where Loki appears as the Chronicler. These hallways serve one purpose: flanking. There is no strategic reason to spend time here unless you are running a flanker who can catch the enemy backline off guard. Going straight to the point or taking the balcony route is the better call for most heroes.
The sloped walkway from spawn or the stairs from the main hallway both lead to the balcony, which connects directly to the capture zone and gives you a height advantage. Long-range characters who cannot push through the main hallway should get here instead and apply pressure from two sides. Just watch the wide cliff opening on the balcony edge, and shoot from behind the corner pillar to stay protected.
| Hero | Role | Why they work here |
|---|---|---|
| Captain America | Vanguard | Melee brawler in tight corridors |
| Black Panther | Duelist | High-burst melee on the point |
| Magik | Duelist | Teleport flanks through corridors |
| Daredevil | Duelist | Close-range dominance |
| Groot | Vanguard | Wall placement controls corridors |
| Peni Parker | Vanguard | Mine setup in hallways |
| Cyclops | Duelist | Mid-range poke from balcony |
Three different compositions work across the map depending on what your team wants to do:
Balanced comp: Emma Frost, Doctor Strange, Gorr the God Butcher, Punisher, Gambit, and Jubilee. This covers the multi-floor chaos of Halls of All-Knowing and the tight corridors of House of Ideas without sacrificing aerial pressure.
Aerial comp: The Thing, Hulk, Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Invisible Woman, and Ultron. Built for Confessional Eternity and Halls of All-Knowing, where height control wins the point.
Flanking comp: Emma Frost, Captain America, Gorr, Scarlet Witch, Rocket Raccoon, and Luna Snow. Gorr handles the multi-floor teleport game while Captain America and Magik-type flankers tear through House of Ideas corridors.
| Achievement | Description | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Behold, Eternity! | Use 1 emote in front of Eternity's statue | 5 |
| Form, Function, Fate | Dispel the Necro-Constructs left behind by Gorr | 5 |
| The Age of Man | Witness Gorr detonate the Godbomb | 5 |
| Final Thunder | Witness Thor sacrifice himself to absorb the Godbomb's blast | 5 |
All four achievements are tied to specific events and interactions on the map. The Behold, Eternity! achievement just requires an emote at the right statue, while the Gorr and Thor ones will unlock naturally as you play through matches where those characters are active.
