The Alice's Bakery side quest, formally titled Sweet Cakes, Bitter Cakes… once you accept it, is one of the more story-rich side missions in Neverness to Everness. It starts simply enough with a free sample sign and ends with a ghost, a special cake, and a half-bunny baker named Rabi. The quest spans multiple in-game days, involves a handful of NPC conversations, and has three dialogue choices that actually matter. Here is everything you need to finish it without backtracking unnecessarily.
How do you unlock Alice's Bakery?
The quest becomes available after you complete Episode: Prologue II – Good Business, Better Treasure. There is no separate unlock step beyond finishing that prologue chapter.
- Quest type: Side quest (Sweet Cakes, Bitter Cakes…)
- Starting location: Bridge Crossings district, Hankaku Street plaza near Wertheimer Tower
- Quest giver: Alice
To find Alice, teleport to the Wertheimer Tower fast travel point. She stands in the plaza just outside. That same teleport point is useful throughout the quest whenever you need to return to the bakery area, so keep it in mind.
Tracking the quest in your menu will automatically fast-forward time during the waiting steps, which saves you from manually opening the Time System radial menu every time.
How to Complete Alice's Bakery Quest
Step 1: Talk to Mr. Eliton and Rabi
Enter the bakery behind Alice and speak with Mr. Eliton, the chef behind the counter. During the dialogue you will also meet Rabi, a half-bunny-half-human character who becomes central to the rest of the quest.
Step 2: Wait until the next afternoon
You need in-game time to reach between 16:00 and 20:00 on the following day. Open the radial menu and select Time System to skip ahead, or simply track the quest to trigger the automatic time skip.
Step 3: Check your messages and talk to Alice and Rabi
Press L3 to open your in-game smartphone and read the message from Alice. Then head outside to speak with Alice in front of the bakery, followed by Rabi inside. After both conversations, skip time to the next afternoon again.
Step 4: Read Mr. Bag's Tips and visit Myosotis
Open messages again to read the update from Mr. Bag. Speak to Alice and Rabi once more at the bakery entrance, then follow the quest marker to the fruit store Myosotis down the street. The shop owner explains that the rare strawberry Rabi needs is out of stock because the delivery truck had an accident.
Step 5: Clear the anomaly at the truck site
Travel north-west to the marked Anomaly sighting location where the delivery truck was struck. Speak to the JTF Member (the man in black) standing nearby, then enter the anomaly. You must defeat 6 Level 8 Anomalies inside. After clearing them, talk to the JTF agent again.
Step 6: Return to the bakery and rest at Eibon
Fast travel back to Wertheimer Tower and speak with Rabi at the bakery entrance, then go inside to talk to Alice. Once done, travel to your home base Eibon and interact with your bed to Rest until the next day.
Step 7: Head back to the bakery and talk to everyone
Check Mr. Bag's latest message, then return to the bakery. A Ghastly Cakefest anomaly has appeared next to the shop. The JTF agent will explain what it is. Speak to Rabi in front of the white monster, then go inside to find Alice sitting on the kitchen floor. The quest will prompt a discussion about how to help Rabi.
The next section has three dialogue choices. Selecting the wrong answers does not lock you out, but choosing correctly is required to progress naturally through the quest.
What are the correct dialogue choices?
During the conversation sequence with the JTF agent, Rabi, and Alice, you will face three prompts. Select these options:
Step 8: Visit Myosotis one more time
After the bakery conversation ends, return to the Myosotis fruit store. This time, speak to the owner and select "Jumbo Dream..." from the dialogue options to obtain the special strawberries Rabi needs.
Step 9: Wait for the Pinkish Dream
Return to the bakery and speak with Rabi inside. He will begin preparing his special dessert, the Pinkish Dream. This takes roughly 10 seconds in real time. Once the cake is ready, speak to Alice in the kitchen.
Step 10: Feed the cake to the Ghastly Cakefest
Step outside the bakery and walk toward the ghost on the left side of the building. Interact with Rabi and the Ghastly Cakefest to feed it the Pinkish Dream. A cutscene plays and the creature flies away.
Step 11: Talk to Rabi to finish
After the cutscene, speak to Rabi one final time outside the bakery. That conversation closes out the quest.
What are the rewards for Alice's Bakery?
Both sources confirm the same reward pool upon completion:
The Annulith and Senior Hunter Guide pieces make this worth doing early, especially if you are pushing character progression.

Sweet Cakes quest rewards
The quest name shown on the map is "Alice's Bakery" but it changes to "Sweet Cakes, Bitter Cakes…" in your quest log once accepted. Both names refer to the same quest.
