Neverness to Everness Version 1.4 Part 2 landed on October 21, marking six months since the game launched. The update brought a new playable character, a school festival story, a licensed anime song collaboration, and two free anniversary gifts that every active player can claim. Here's exactly what's available, how to get it, and what else Version 1.4 has added across both halves.

What are the free half-anniversary rewards?

The short answer: 2 million Fons and Akane Rin's "House Special" outfit, both delivered through in-game mail after the October 21 update goes live.

The House Special outfit puts Akane in a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers, guitar still in hand. Worth noting: the outfit is the free reward, not a free copy of Akane herself. The 2 million Fons are listed as a separate gift alongside it.

These two items form the second delivery in the Pukaland Fest Special Gift Pack. The first delivery dropped with the September 30 update and included 10 Solid Dice plus the Like Clockwork avatar frame.

How to claim all Version 1.4 rewards

Version 1.4 spreads its free rewards across several separate systems. Missing one means leaving currency and gear on the table.

The Puka Membership Program is the biggest reward pool in the version, but it requires hitting City Tycoon Level 16 first. If you're sitting below that threshold, prioritize progression to unlock it before the version ends. Check out the Neverness to Everness guide on farming Fons fast to speed that up.

Who is Akane Rin?

Akane Rin plays guitar part-time at Livehouse StarSign, but her background runs deeper than the music scene. Before picking up the guitar professionally, she worked as an Anomaly Hunter, and Version 1.4 Part 2 lets you piece together the events that shifted her path. She arrives with three outfits total, one of which is the free House Special cosmetic.

Her music isn't just a character trait locked to cutscenes. While exploring Hethereau, you can pull out her guitar and perform wherever you like in the open world, which is a nice touch for a character built around live performance.

What's the school festival story about?

The Whoots!!!! return for a new school festival storyline centered on their next performance. The collaboration at the heart of it features "God knows…", the insert song from the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Players can join the festival, catch up with the band, and follow their story forward.

Akane's role in the music ties directly into both the school festival content and her open-world activities, so the guitar mechanic isn't just a gimmick.

What did Version 1.4 Part 1 add?

The first half launched September 30 and was already a substantial update before Part 2 arrived.

  • Blackbird: A playable character who can transform into a bird and take to the skies above Hethereau.
  • Pukaland: An explorable theme park with four zones of rides, minigames, and rewards.
  • Second Porsche collaboration: Three drivable models added to the roster, plus additional customization through the Porsche Club.
  • Porsche 911 Turbo (930)
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package
  • Porsche 918 Spyder
  • New permanent Anomaly Commissions: Added to the ongoing content loop.
  • Supernatural encounters: Including the Ghost Bus, a monster-filled dream sequence, and oversized everyday objects scattered through the world.

Common mistakes players make with anniversary rewards

The mistake most players make is treating all the Version 1.4 rewards as one system when they're actually four separate tracks: the in-game mail gifts, the Pukaland Fest Special Gift Pack, the Circle Gifts login event, and the Puka Membership Program. Missing the City Tycoon Level 16 gate is the most costly oversight, since that locks out two S-Class Character Selection Boxes.

If you haven't unlocked the Ebisu Auction House yet, that's another progression system worth sorting out early. The guide to unlocking the Auction House walks through the Deal? Deal! quest and the Iris meeting at Kape Grand Hotel.

For new players still building out their roster without spending gacha currency, the full free characters guide covers all 6 obtainable characters including Zero, Chiz, Adler, Haniel, Mint, and Aurelia.

FAQ

Do I need to pull Akane Rin to get the House Special outfit? No. The outfit arrives through in-game mail as a free anniversary gift, separate from the gacha banner. You do not need to own Akane to claim it.

What can I spend the 2 million Fons on? Fons are the general progression currency in NTE. They're used across gear upgrades and various advancement systems. Two million is a meaningful amount for mid-game players.

Is the "God knows…" collaboration permanent? The school festival story and the "God knows…" performance are part of Version 1.4 Part 2 content. No permanent status has been confirmed, so engage with it during the active version window.

Are the Solid Dice from the login event limited to specific banners? The 20 Solid Dice from the Circle Gifts event are usable on Limited Boards specifically, not the standard banner pool.
