Nanally Outfit - The Popular Kid : r ...

Nanally is the first limited banner character in Neverness to Everness, and she hits hard enough to justify the pull. As an S-Class Anima/Plasma Esper and main DPS, her kit revolves around rapid follow-up attacks, a gravity-defying skill state, and a summoned Underboss that coordinates damage on every single hit. Getting her build wrong means leaving a lot of damage on the table. Getting it right means watching bosses evaporate.

Best Arcs for Nanally

Ready-Ready is her signature Arc and the clear best-in-slot option. Its Commander Tiger Talisman effect increases ATK by 15%, then adds 15% Basic Attack and Critical Riposte damage for 15 seconds whenever she uses her Redirect Skill or Ultimate, stacking up to twice. If she triggers both within 15 seconds of each other, the Commander Tiger Talisman activates and adds a further 10% damage bonus against Bosses for 10 seconds. That boss-damage trigger lines up naturally with her rotation since her skill and ultimate are both core to her loop.

Song of the Whale works as a strong alternative. Its Deep Blue Sorrow passive gives a 12% ATK increase, adds 12% damage against Broken enemies, and restores 30% HP when a Broken enemy dies (once every 30 seconds). The healing is a small survivability bonus, but the damage to Broken enemies is where the real value sits.

Oraora! is the F2P-accessible option. Its Ora Puncher passive stacks 2% Basic Attack DMG per basic attack, up to 10 independent stacks. Since Nanally spends a lot of time chaining basic attacks during Ichi-daime's Authority, those stacks accumulate quickly. Mobalytics notes this is a solid A-Class pick if you pull it during your rolls, though it is not worth purchasing copies specifically.

What is the best Cartridge for Nanally?

Fireflies and the Forest is the top pick, and it is not particularly close. The Epic 2-piece bonus adds 10% Anima DMG, which stacks cleanly with Nanally's element. The Legendary 4-piece effect is where it gets serious: every time a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from anyone on the team, Nanally gains 8% CRIT DMG, stacking up to 7 times with each stack lasting 10 seconds. The effect persists even when she is off-field. According to Game8, that translates to up to 56% CRIT DMG as long as she keeps attacking, which is a substantial multiplier on top of her already CRIT-focused kit.

Shadow Creed is the alternative. The 2-piece gives 10% ATK, and the 4-piece adds 25% ATK for 20 seconds after using a Skill. Combined with the CRIT DMG she already builds from her Skill, this pushes her ATK ceiling to 35% ATK from the Cartridge alone. It is a viable choice if Fireflies is unavailable.

For the main stat, prioritize CRIT Rate on your Cartridge slot. Module substats should target CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, DMG, and ATK% in that order. Mobalytics also notes that Nanally gains extra CRIT Rate for each Type II Module equipped, so filling those slots first before mixing in other sets is worth doing.

How should you prioritize Nanally's skills?

According to Game8's skill priority breakdown, the upgrade order is straightforward:

  • Colucci Ultimate Technique (Ultimate) first. It deals the most raw Anima DMG and determines how hard the Underboss hits on every follow-up. Upgrading this is the single biggest damage increase.
  • Colucci Howling Technique (Skill) second. This is the entry point for Ichi-daime's Authority and a burst of Anima DMG in its own right. Higher levels increase that burst directly.
  • Colucci Secret Skill (Basic Attack) third. Most of Nanally's field time during Authority involves chaining basic attacks, so this matters more than it might appear at first.
  • Justice From Above (Support Skill) last. It deals one hit of Anima DMG when activated. Functional, but not worth prioritizing over the rest of her kit.

Which Awakening skills should you take first?

Nanally's Awakening tree has two clear priorities at A3 and A6, with the others filling in around them.

A3: Call Me the Boss (5-star priority) triggers an additional follow-up attack dealing Anima DMG equal to 50% ATK whenever Nanally deals damage while in Ichi-daime's Authority, once per second. Since you will be inside that state constantly, this Awakening fires on nearly every hit.

A6: Because We're Family (5-star priority) extends Ichi-daime's Authority from 12 seconds to 15 seconds in combat, and further to 20 seconds out of combat. More uptime on Authority means more CRIT DMG, more follow-up procs, and more Underboss coordination.

A1: Gang Formation (4-star priority) grants 2.5 Ultimate Energy per follow-up attack, triggering at most once every second. This keeps her Ultimate cycling faster, which means more Underboss uptime.

A5: Followers Everywhere (4-star priority) stacks 2% ATK per follow-up attack up to 20%, disappearing when she leaves the field or exits combat. Strong sustained DPS boost.

A2: Second Member and A4: Not a Troublemaker both improve Underboss directly. A2 extends its duration by 3 seconds, and A4 increases its damage by 30%. Both are worth having, but neither is urgent before the top-tier picks.

What are Nanally's best team compositions?

Nanally's passive More Than Passionate enhances Blossom reactions by firing 10 Lebenblumes through Lebenstamm with a reduced 1-second interval between shots. Her other passive, Fair Duel, triggers a follow-up attack dealing Anima DMG equal to 60% ATK whenever any team member deals Esper Cycle DMG while she is in Ichi-daime's Authority, once every 2 seconds. Both passives push toward reaction-heavy team setups.

Blossom Nuke team

The standard recommendation pairs Nanally with Zero, Jiuyuan, and Sakiri. Zero (Cosmos element) creates Blossom reactions with Nanally's Anima element, generating Genesis Buds that Nanally's passive supercharges for AoE explosions. Sakiri adds a Covering Pattern buff for burst amplification. Jiuyuan contributes crowd control and additional damage. This is the go-to setup for mob clearing and general content.

Mobalytics notes that Sakiri functions mostly as a flex slot here. You can swap her for Edgar or Mint to stay on the Anima/Cosmos elemental theme, or bring in Hathor for Lakshana to open additional reactions.

Hexed Chain team

AllClash also documents a Hexed Chain setup pairing Nanally with Baicang as the heavy hitter. The Hexed reaction adds retrospective damage on damage dealt, meaning once the reaction activates, every hit starts snowballing. Nanally acts as both the main DPS and the reaction trigger in this comp.

How to play Nanally effectively

The core loop is straightforward once you understand the timing. Open with Colucci Howling Technique to enter Ichi-daime's Authority, chain basic attacks to build Ultimate Energy (especially with A1 active), then fire Colucci Ultimate Technique to summon the Underboss. From there, keep attacking. Every hit coordinates with the Underboss for additional follow-up Anima DMG and a small pull effect that keeps enemies clustered.

The anti-gravity mobility from Ichi-daime's Authority is not just a combat tool. Nanally's wall-walking carries over to exploration, letting you reach elevated anomaly spots and resource nodes across Hethereau's districts without needing a separate traversal kit.

Her basic attack combo, Colucci Secret Skill, runs up to 5 consecutive hits and does not get interrupted by dodging. The same applies to Heavy Hitter!, which chains off Critical Ripostes and specific combo points. This means you can reposition freely without losing your combo, which makes her forgiving to play while still rewarding precise timing on skill and ultimate windows.

Nanally is one of the stronger investments at NTE's launch. The build is not complicated, the team options are flexible, and her kit holds up in both mob content and boss fights without needing perfect execution. Pair the right Arc, stack CRIT DMG through Fireflies and the Forest, and keep Ichi-daime's Authority running as much as possible.
