Cloud9 completed its five-player Valorant roster for the 2027 season on November 7, 2026, adding Torogul "alym" Baidyldaev, Derrek "Derrek" Ha, and Christian "nightz" Smith. The trio joins Cameron "FireBallOps" Tomaselli and Conner "GLYPH" Garcia.
The rebuilt Cloud9 lineup
All five players have VCT experience. Their paths into this lineup include a returning academy player, a single holdover, and three arrivals with recent experience across other North American teams:
- FireBallOps is the only player retained from Cloud9's roster at the end of 2026.
- GLYPH signed earlier in the week, returning to the organization after a short Cloud9 Academy stint around the start of 2022. The controller player began 2026 with Gentle Mates and finished it at ENVY.
- alym most recently played for FURIA, where he filled the entry Duelist role.
- Derrek competed for M80 and QoR during 2026. His earlier teams include Rise, 100 Thieves, and Evil Geniuses.
- nightz joined ENVY midway through 2026 and primarily played Controller.

Cloud9 faces a qualifying route
The rebuild follows Cloud9 missing out on one of the four North American partnership slots for the next phase of VCT. Its 2026 lineup also finished the year without reaching an international event.
Jackk and v1c were allowed to explore other teams. In-game leader Zellsis and longtime player OXY departed, and both have since joined Sentinels. Those exits left Cloud9 replacing four of its five playing positions.
Cloud9 now has to earn its place through qualifying. The organization's roster announcement names November 20 as its OQ Playoffs date, less than two weeks after the reveal.
