Paper Rex has parted ways with Wang "Jinggg" Jing Jie after five years on its Valorant roster, ending a stint that began on September 28, 2021. Captain d4v41 is also leaving as the Singapore organisation reshapes its team for 2027.
The departures follow a 2026 season that started with deep international runs before ending abruptly at Champions Shanghai. PRX finished runners-up at Masters Santiago and Masters London, then lost to LOUD in the Champions upper-bracket quarterfinals on October 7. T1 eliminated them in the lower bracket on October 9.
Two departures leave PRX with three players
Paper Rex's farewell message singled out Jinggg's Raze, alongside the clutches, aces, and memories from his time with the team. Jinggg wrote on X that he was excited about what comes next, but has not named his next team.
For d4v41, the departure ends an even longer association. He joined Paper Rex at its founding in 2020, starting on the organisation's CS:GO roster before moving into Valorant. In PRX's farewell video, he said he was moving to a new team and asked fans to keep supporting Paper Rex.
The remaining PRX player roster is:
- Adrian "invy" Jiggs Reyes
- Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto
- Ilya "something" Petrov
Coach Alexandre "alecks" Sallé remains with the team, alongside manager Kumaresan "Tommy" Ramani and performance coach Laijhun "Panda" Cheng.
Jinggg leaves with a Toronto title
Jinggg arrived from Team SMG in 2021, and his Raze became a defining part of Paper Rex's aggressive approach to Riot's tactical shooter. His departure changes more than a name on the team sheet: PRX is losing a player closely tied to how it played.
That partnership produced repeated international final appearances. Jinggg helped Paper Rex finish second at Masters Copenhagen in 2022, then win the inaugural VCT Pacific League and reach the Champions Los Angeles final in 2023.
The breakthrough trophy came at Masters Toronto 2025, where Paper Rex defeated FNATIC to claim its first international title. PRX followed that with the VCT Pacific Stage 2 championship and a fourth-place finish at Champions Paris.
The first Masters event of the new season follows in February 2027. For more on the agents and roles behind the competition, explore the Valorant guide collection.
