Marvel's Wolverine has reached 2.4 million copies sold. Sony disclosed the milestone in its November 5 second-quarter earnings update, listing the game among its selected first-party software titles.
The game launched on September 15, 2026.
Insomniac Games developed the standalone action-adventure, which puts players in control of Wolverine through brutal combat sequences and a dark narrative set in Marvel's universe. The studio also developed the Marvel's Spider-Man games, giving Sony another set of Marvel releases against which to compare Logan's sales.

What Sony's sales figure measures
Sony identifies the Wolverine milestone as cumulative sell-through. The company reports its broader software business separately, combining PS5 and PS4 sales over a three-month period.
For a closer look at the action-adventure itself, our Marvel's Wolverine review examines the game beyond its commercial performance. The earnings update supplies a sales milestone, not an assessment of Logan's combat or story.
How it compares with Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 provides a same-studio comparison. Its published sales milestones cover its opening day, first 10 days, and cumulative performance, so the reporting windows differ from Wolverine's November total.
| Marvel's Spider-Man 2 reporting window | Copies sold |
|---|---|
| First 24 hours | 2.5 million |
| First 10 days | More than 5 million |
| Cumulative sales | 18.2 million |
Wolverine's reported cumulative sales remain below Spider-Man 2's first-day figure. Those totals establish the difference in copies sold without establishing a cause for it.
The wider PlayStation quarter
Sony's accompanying hardware and software results cover the three months ended September 30, 2026. They measure activity across the PlayStation business, separate from the individual game's cumulative sales milestone.
PS5 shipments totaled 2.6 million consoles during that quarter, down 0.9 million from the same period a year earlier. These are hardware shipments, distinct from the sell-through figure Sony lists for Wolverine.
Combined PS5 and PS4 software sales reached 88.2 million units, an increase of 7.9 million year over year. First-party titles accounted for 8.2 million units, up 1.9 million from the comparable quarter.
Full-game digital downloads represented 78% of software sales. Sony also recorded 127 million monthly active PlayStation Network users as of September 30, 2026.
