Yakumo Effigies are some of the most valuable collectibles in Palworld 1.0, tied directly to endgame stat progression. There are exactly 4 of them scattered across the map, and three of them require access to areas that only open up later in the game. If you're still working through early content, bookmark this and come back. If you're ready to hunt them down, here's exactly where to go.
What are Yakumo Effigies and why do they matter?
Yakumo Effigies are collectible objects tied to endgame progression. Collecting them feeds directly into stat improvements, making them worth tracking down once you're deep into the late game. They're not random drops or crafted items. Each one sits at a fixed location in the world, waiting to be picked up. Given that all four are in high-level zones, don't expect to stumble across them naturally during a casual playthrough.

Where are all 4 Yakumo Effigy locations in Palworld 1.0?
Here's a quick overview before diving into each one individually:
Effigy 1: Feybreak Island
This is the only Effigy you can grab before reaching the new 1.0 zones. Start at the Oculus Gate fast travel point on Feybreak Island and look directly north. The Effigy sits on top of a circular structure at that location.
Feybreak's snow biome will drain your health fast without cold protection, so gear up before heading out. A flying mount makes reaching the top of the circular structure trivial. Without one, you'll need to climb up manually.

Effigy 2: Sunreach Islands
This one sits inside a shrine on one of the floating islands in the Sunreach Islands region. Starting from the Sunreach Watchtower fast travel point, head north. You're looking for a watchtower near a cliff path. Take that path upward, and the shrine becomes accessible.
There's also a portal in the area on the eastern floating island that can help you navigate across. A flying Pal is the most reliable way to reach the shrine if you're having trouble with the cliff route.
For players still figuring out which Pals to prioritize for traversal, the Palworld 1.0 guide on all new Pal locations covers spawn points across Sunreach Island and the Floating Islands in detail.
Effigy 3: World Tree region
Head to the Gilded City Ruins watchtower in the World Tree region and travel west. There's an isolated building sitting near a lake in that direction. The Effigy is positioned right outside the main entrance to that building. Hard to miss once you're at the right coordinates, but the World Tree region is dense with enemies, so approach with a strong team.
Effigy 4: World Tree region
The final Effigy is also in the World Tree region, this time near the Abandoned Laboratory on the western side of the area. Outside the laboratory's main entrance, on the left, stands an Anubis Statue. Climb the statue and you'll find the last Effigy Link at the top.
How to prepare before hunting Yakumo Effigies
Three of these four Effigies sit in zones that will punish underprepared players. Here's what to sort out before you go hunting:
- Cold resistance gear for the Feybreak Effigy. The snow biome deals passive damage without it.
- A flying mount for Effigies 1 and 2. Both involve elevated structures that are much faster to reach from the air.
- High-level combat Pals for the World Tree Effigies. The enemies in that region hit hard.
- Fast travel points unlocked in each region before searching. Backtracking without them wastes significant time.

Is it worth getting all 4 Yakumo Effigies?
Yes, without question. These are fixed collectibles with no time limit or missable conditions. The stat benefits they provide are tied to endgame optimization, which means every serious player pushing into the late game should have all four on their list. The Feybreak Effigy is accessible relatively early compared to the others, so grab it whenever you're in the area. The remaining three are best treated as a dedicated late-game run once you've unlocked the World Tree and Sunreach regions.
