Where to find Bastigor in Palworld
Bastigor spawns exclusively in the World Tree region, specifically in the tundra area northwest of the main World Tree map. The coordinates (-1862, 1589) put you right in the middle of a reliable spawn cluster. Start from the Boreal Summit Fast Travel Point, head west through the snowy tunnel, and you'll run into multiple Bastigor alongside Elgrove Cryst Pals.

How do you breed Bastigor?
Breeding is the safer route if you want a Bastigor with specific passive skills rather than catching a wild one and hoping for good IVs. There are currently only two known combinations that produce a Bastigor egg:
The Anubis + Frostallion combo is the more interesting option since it lets you work toward Bastigor before you've caught one in the wild. Both Anubis and Frostallion are endgame Pals themselves, so this isn't a shortcut exactly, but it gives you a controlled path to a Bastigor with the passive setup you actually want.

Blizzard Crash turns Bastigor into a rideable mount that delivers Ice-forged hammer strikes while you're in the saddle. To actually use it as a mount, you need the Bastigor Saddle, which unlocks in the Technology Tree at Level 73.
That's a late unlock, but the payoff is a mount that actively contributes damage during exploration rather than just moving you around. For a region as dangerous as the World Tree, having a Level 75 Ice bear swinging a frozen hammer at enemies while you ride it is a meaningful combat advantage.

What work can Bastigor do at base?
Bastigor's work suitabilities are strong enough that keeping one at base is genuinely worth considering, even if you also want one in your party.
Cooling Level 8 is the headline number here. That's among the highest Cooling ratings in the game, which means Bastigor keeps your food storage fresh for significantly longer. Pair that with Lumbering Level 6 for wood gathering and Mining Level 5 for ore and stone, and you have a Pal that covers three major resource categories without any additional base slots.
The tension is real though: Bastigor is also one of the better combat mounts available at this stage of the game. Running two Bastigor (one for base, one for your party) is the cleanest solution if you have the breeding resources.

The attack passive set (Musclehead, Ferocious, Lucky, Legend) nearly doubles raw Attack compared to Max IV without passives. The defensive set (Burly Body, Masochist, Hard Skin, Legend) trades that offensive output for survivability, which matters more if you're using Bastigor as a base worker that needs to hold its own against raids.
Full Condenser and Soul bonuses push HP to 12,760 regardless of build, which makes a fully invested Bastigor genuinely tanky even on the attack-focused path.
