Collecting four Sha-Chi Amber Fragments automatically combines them into a complete Sha-Chi Amber, permanently increasing your maximum Sha-Chi by 10%. Individual fragments contribute toward that upgrade rather than expanding the gauge on their own.
Soul's yellow Sha-Chi gauge supports both offense and defense. Sha-Chi Attacks consume it, and Guard Stance and blocking draw on the same resource. A larger gauge gives you more room to attack and withstand pressure before a Guard Break becomes a risk.

Weeping Creek Valley contains four fragments, enough to complete a Sha-Chi Amber. Two come from accessible combat encounters, while the Outpost and Long Pillar Overlook routes require additional items.
Clear Broken Puppet Valley and Rustblade Pavilion
- Broken Puppet Valley: Follow the main path south of the bell to the clearing with the elite enemy and its accompanying group. Defeat them, then open the chest for the fragment.
Rustblade Pavilion: After the area's boss fight, continue along the main route northeast of the bell. Defeat the enemy group on the mountain path to receive the fragment.

Return with the Dread Axe and Rusted Loong Key
- Outpost: Defeat Peng Meng, the Axemaster to obtain the Dread Axe Phantom Edge. Return to the blocked route just north of the Outpost bell, break through the obstruction, and defeat every enemy in the newly accessible section. The fragment is awarded when the group is cleared.

Follow the crank and prison-key route
- Outlaw Trap and the tunnel exit: After freeing Quick Hand Zhang, take the opening into the upper cavern and collect the Crimson Forest Tunnel Crank. Use it on the mechanism in the clearing. The lower route reaches a previously inaccessible wooden building, where a chest contains a Sha-Chi Amber Fragment and a Kuye Dew medicine jar.

Village of Lu mixes chest pickups with an NPC encounter that requires you to leave and return. Check the bridge-side and courtyard routes, then finish the riverbank sequence and the lakeside search after Mu Xiaokui.

- Beyond Covered Bridge: Cross the broken Covered Bridge and head toward the cliff edge, keeping the tree on your right in view. Open the chest beside the nearby Memory Flower Petal.
- Survivors' Courtyard: Use the zip line to reach the northeastern village section and its courtyard bell. Outside the courtyard, find the large house, climb its steps, and check the open wooden shed on the left for the chest.
Complete the riverbank encounter and lakeside search
- Southern riverbank: Speak to the man holding his wife and exhaust his dialogue. Travel to the opposite side of the river, then return. The man will have died and left the fragment behind.
- Lakeside clearing: After defeating Mu Xiaokui, explore the lakeside area. Open the chest beneath the large leaning tree.
Where are the Pangzhen Sha-Chi Ambers?
Pangzhen has eight fragment pickups spread across rooftops and building interiors. The vertical routes matter: several rewards sit on a lower roof ledge or an upper floor rather than at street level.
Check the rooftops and central town buildings
- Abandoned Wine Cellar rooftops: Search among the stacks of wooden crates on the rooftops. The fragment is inside a chest.
- Pavilion of Knowledge Crossroads: Collect the rooftop key inside the Pavilion of Knowledge and reach Child of Insight. Look for the building with the large red gate to the right of the crossroads bell. Drop onto the roof ledge one level below Child of Insight, then enter the second-floor area and open the chest.
- South Town Pond: Enter the inn and search beside the wall near the shelves of wine jars. Open the chest there.

- Cliffside guard tower: After the cutscene with the enormous boss, continue through the tunnels until you reach the cliffside section with enemies and a guard tower. Climb to the top and open the chest.
- Kui Yanyan, the Deranged: Starting at the Shrine Outer Gate bell, descend the steps and defeat this miniboss. She drops a Sha-Chi Amber Fragment and the Missing Lift Crank.
- Repaired elevator exit: Use the Missing Lift Crank to repair the elevator, then ride it. Search the exit area near the purple-glowing item for the fragment reward. The nearby door connects back to Shrine Outer Gate.
Complete Agonized Ironmask's ledger encounter
The Agonized Ironmask encounter requires progress elsewhere before his dialogue advances:
- Obtain Moji's Relic and complete Hero's Lament.
- Return to Agonized Ironmask in the Mountain of Imprisonment. He asks you to recover his ledger from the caves below.
- Retrieve the ledger if you have not already collected it, then speak to him again.
- Choose the response that says the ledger will not absolve him of his sins.
