Yu’er’s healer quests in Phantom Blade 0 reward you with stronger medicine healing and an accessory that briefly stops Sha-Chi consumption. Getting both means more than following the main road: you’ll need three herbs, a flower guarded by Hua, and four wounded thieves tucked into the Crimson Forest’s side paths. The biggest catch is timing. Finish Yu’er’s requests before wrapping up the Crimson Forest’s main objectives. This walkthrough separates the early pickups from the progression-gated errands, then groups the wounded thieves by route to cut down on backtracking.

Which rewards make Yu’er’s quests worth doing?

The Medicine Case and Calming Gourd improve different parts of medicine use. Medicine Case increases health restoration by 20%. Calming Gourd adds guard-break recovery and a 3-second window without Sha-Chi consumption whenever you use medicine.

Calming GourdA Healer’s MercyLets you recover from guard-breaks and prevents Sha-Chi consumption for 3 seconds

Medicine Case is the straightforward healing upgrade. Calming Gourd is worth collecting for its recovery effect, especially if guard-breaks are giving you trouble. Yu’er’s Flesh Lily request also takes you to Hua, who drops the two-handed Scarlet Wraithblade.

Where do you find Yu’er and start her requests?

Your first encounter with Yu’er happens beside the river in Weeping Creek Valley, where she gives you the Flesh Lily request. Later, defeat Peng Meng, the Axemaster, and she moves to the Outpost, beside Forge and close to the Outpost Bell.

Speak to Yu’er there and select Gather Herbs to begin Apprentice Healer. She gives you a recipe, and three herb markers appear on your map. You can start this quest without completing Flesh Lily first, so there’s no reason to delay accepting it while Hua is still alive.

For wider weapon and upgrade planning while you explore Weeping Creek Valley, keep the Phantom Blade 0 beginner’s guide handy.

How do you find all three Apprentice Healer herbs?

You can collect Blood-Stopper Vine relatively early, but Congealeaf and Blemish Goldweed require access to the optional valley below Sha-Chi Tower. The map markers show approximate locations, not the route through the locked entrances.

Unlock the lower valley first

Before pursuing the last two herbs, finish the Weeping Creek Valley main story by defeating The Hunt. Then open the route into the lower valley:

  1. Go to the top of Sha-Chi Tower.
  2. Use Hunter’s Chain Sickle to obtain the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key.
  3. Return to the Creek Valley Plains Entrance bell.
  4. Unlock the gate into the optional valley.

Blood-Stopper Vine

Travel east of The Axemaster’s Holding Cell to the bridge. Before crossing, take the descending path on the right and drop into the river below.

Defeat the 3 enemies patrolling the river, then head upstream. Collect the glowing pickup beside the wooden wall to obtain Blood-Stopper Vine. The herb is down by the water, so searching only along the bridge won’t get you there.

Congealeaf

Start at Long Pillar Overlook. Before leaving, take the Rusted Loong Key from the chest near the bell; you’ll need it for the route to Blemish Goldweed afterward.

Head east along the road and pass the watchtower. Keep to the upper route by wall-running instead of dropping into the lower valley. Look beside the large rock formation directly opposite the locked cave entrance that requires the Rusted Loong Key. Congealeaf is the pickup there.

Blemish Goldweed

Use the Rusted Loong Key on the cave entrance along the road east of Long Pillar Overlook. Follow the caves through to Weeping Creek Long Pillar. If you’ve already reached that location, teleport there instead.

At the massive dragon statue, take the path heading northwest. Check the right side of that path a short distance ahead for Blemish Goldweed.

With all three herbs collected, return to Yu’er to complete Apprentice Healer and receive Medicine Case. Its 20% increase applies to health restored by medicines.

Where is the Flesh Lily, and what does Hua drop?

The Flesh Lily is in the boss area reached through a side opening on the ground floor of Sha-Chi Tower. This detour is separate from gathering the three Apprentice Healer herbs.

Follow this route to the flower:

  • Find the opening leading onto a sloping bridge on Sha-Chi Tower’s ground floor.
  • Move onto the bridge so Soul slides down toward the pond.
  • Continue beyond the pond to the gravesite.
  • Defeat Hua.
  • Collect the glowing Flesh Lily quest item in the area.

Hua drops Scarlet Wraithblade, a two-handed weapon that causes Sha-Chi-draining plants to bloom. The flower is a separate pickup, so check the boss area before leaving with the weapon.

Hua is the boss standing between you and the Flesh Lily. If you need a refresher before the fight, use the Sha-Chi, parry, and Ghoststep combat guide to review the wider combat system.

How do you complete A Healer’s Mercy?

Find Yu’er again at Thieves’ Camp in Crimson Forest, shortly after defeating Jing Ye, the Outlaw. The camp is roughly halfway through the region. Speak with her to begin A Healer’s Mercy, which asks you to deliver medicine to four wounded thieves.

The Record of the Lost Thieves gives you location clues, but none of the four men are waiting directly on the main path. Treat the search as two outings: clear the Outlaw Trap cave and cellar first, then visit Cliffside Lodge and return with the dungeon key.

Outlaw Trap: treat Li and collect the tunnel crank

Teleport to the Outlaw Trap bell and enter the cave to the west. Li the “Flying Rat” is behind the blue flowers. Give him Yu’er’s medicine, then continue through the cave system instead of immediately returning to the bell.

At the end of those caves, beyond Li’s location, collect the Crimson Forest Tunnel Crank. This opens the route to another wounded thief.

Beneath the hatch: find Zhou behind the table

Return to the Outlaw Trap bell and insert the Crimson Forest Tunnel Crank into the stone mechanism. Open the hatch, drop down, and descend the ladder.

Turn right at the bottom, then take the left-hand path behind the table. You’ll find Zhou the “Lean Monkey” there. Give him the medicine before heading back out.

Cliffside Lodge: collect the key and treat Zhen

Leave Thieves’ Camp along the northwest path. Follow the main road past Red Serpent House and Cliff of Longing until you reach Cliffside Lodge.

Enter the lodge’s basement. At the beginning of the tunnel leading outside, inspect the corpse with the orange glow and collect the Thieves’ Camp Dungeon Key. Continue through that tunnel and step outside at its far end to find Zhen the “Slippery Eel”. Give him Yu’er’s medicine.

Thieves’ Camp dungeon: unlock the entrance to Gui

Return to Thieves’ Camp and find the dungeon on the camp’s southeast side. Unlock it with the Thieves’ Camp Dungeon Key. Gui the “Night Raven” is just behind the entrance, making this the shortest search once you have the key.

Give Gui the medicine, then speak with Yu’er after all four thieves have been treated. She rewards you with Calming Gourd. Each medicine use lets you recover from guard-breaks and prevents Sha-Chi consumption for 3 seconds.

What should you check before finishing Crimson Forest?

Before completing the Crimson Forest main objectives, make sure you’ve collected Flesh Lily, handed in all three Apprentice Healer herbs, and delivered medicine to Li, Zhou, Zhen, and Gui. Speak with Yu’er after the medicine deliveries to claim Calming Gourd rather than stopping at the fourth thief.

Later, NPCs in the next region will prompt you to revisit earlier areas. Follow those requests to continue related quests, but finish Yu’er’s healer errands before concluding the Crimson Forest objectives.

With Medicine Case and Calming Gourd collected, use the Phantom Blade 0 guide collection to plan your next side quest.
