To get the Xorcist Rod in Fisch, complete all four quests from Ken Carson at the Underground Music Venue. You'll need mutation-specific catches, his missing Stage Monitor, and an Apex fish caught with Duskwire. The reward comes with 200% Luck, a mutation that multiplies fish value by 7x, and a Chomp action that advances your catch progress.

For this Roblox questline, check your equipment before heading underground. A Chaotic Enchant Relic opens the venue, while specific rods or enchantments handle several catch requirements. Having those ready saves you a trip back out.

Which rods do you need for Ken Carson's quests?

Ken's requests include Electric Minnows, a Shiny Musical Crab, and a Hexed Ancient Megalodon. These attributes matter just as much as the species, so prepare the equipment for each objective before chasing the fish.

EquipmentQuest objectiveWhy you need it
Tempest RodElectric MinnowsProvides a way to obtain the Electric mutation
A rod with StormingElectric MinnowsAn alternative to using the Tempest Rod
Non-Life Rod or Original No-Life RodHexed Ancient MegalodonProvides the Hexed mutation needed for the hand-in
DuskwireFinal Apex fish catchKen specifically requires you to use this rod

For the other objectives, bring Snare bait for DJ Spinopus and Shark's Head bait for the Ancient Megalodon. Crab Cages can help with both Scrap Metal and Musical Crab collection.

How do you reach Ken Carson?

Ken Carson stands on the stage inside the Underground Music Venue. If you haven't opened the venue, your route runs through Vertigo, the Depths, and Crystal Cove.

  1. Enter a mysterious whirlpool in the main ocean to reach Vertigo.
  2. Use a Depths Key to open the Depths door.
  3. Use your glider to reach Crystal Cove at GPS coordinates X: 1100, Y: -700, Z: 1400.
  4. Place a Chaotic Enchant Relic on the white crystal pedestal inside Crystal Cove.
  5. Enter the trapdoor at the back of the room to reach the Underground Music Venue.
  6. Find Ken on the stage and interact with him to begin his questline.

The relic unlocks access to Ken, but earning Xorcist requires finishing his entire four-quest chain. His first request sends you after Electric Minnows and Scrap Metal.

How do you finish Ken's first two quests?

Underground Static: Electric Minnows and Scrap Metal

For Underground Static, collect and return:

  • 3 Electric Minnows
  • 2 Scrap Metal

Catch the Minnows near Roslit Bay using either the Tempest Rod or a rod enchanted with Storming. The Electric requirement is the reason to choose that equipment rather than your usual fishing setup.

You can place Crab Cages while working on the Minnows to collect Scrap Metal alongside them. Fishing for Scrap Metal is another option: it can appear in any body of water, favors daytime, and can be targeted with a Magnet Rod using Magnet or Garbage bait.

Teen X: Shiny Musical Crab and DJ Spinopus

Teen X keeps both targets in Crystal Cove, but the catches have different requirements:

TargetQuantityMethod and favorable conditions
Shiny Musical Crab1Place Crab Cages in Crystal Cove; use the Appraiser to obtain Shiny if needed
DJ Spinopus3Fish in Crystal Cove with Snare bait; favors clear nights during spring or summer

If you choose to fish for the Musical Crab, its favorable conditions are rain, nighttime, and summer, with no preferred bait. A Shiny Surge Totem is an option while fishing for the Shiny attribute.

Return the Shiny Musical Crab and 3 DJ Spinopus to finish Teen X. If you're collecting other quest rewards too, save the Webweaver Rod unlock guide for another Fisch questline.

How do you complete A Great Chaos?

A Great Chaos pairs a demanding catch with a nearby item pickup. You need a Hexed Ancient Megalodon and Ken's lost Stage Monitor.

Catch the Hexed Ancient Megalodon

Look for an Ancient Megalodon during a Megalodon Hunt at Ancient Isle. Use Shark's Head bait to improve your chances, and fish with either the Non-Life Rod or Original No-Life Rod to obtain the Hexed mutation.

The mutation requirement makes your rod choice especially important here. Prepare the Hexed setup before pursuing the hunt, rather than landing an Ancient Megalodon that doesn't meet Ken's request.

Recover the Stage Monitor

Ken's Stage Monitor is backstage, next to the drum kit. Look to Ken's right and behind the stage area to find it.

The Stage Monitor pickup is the straightforward half of A Great Chaos. Collect it while you're at the venue, then focus on returning with the correctly mutated Ancient Megalodon.

How do you finish the final Apex fish quest?

Ken's last objective requires you to catch an Apex fish using Duskwire. Both parts count: the catch must be an Apex fish, and you must use the specified rod.

Equip Duskwire before attempting the catch. Once you've fulfilled this final request and completed Ken's four-quest chain, you can obtain the Xorcist Rod.

Xorcist is a limited-time reward introduced with the Venue Encore update on October 31, 2026, so its availability is tied to the game's update schedule. If you're planning another rod quest afterward, the Dutchman's Rod unlock guide covers a separate Fisch reward.

What are the Xorcist Rod's stats and passives?

The Xorcist Rod combines 75% Lure Speed with 200% Luck and an unlimited weight capacity. Its full base stats are:

StatValue
Lure Speed75%
Luck200%
Control0.08
Resilience25%
Maximum weightInfinite
Disturbance+3

Xorcist mutation

The rod has a chance to apply the Xorcist mutation, which multiplies a fish's value by 7x. That value bonus is a clear reason to pursue the rod, alongside its catch-progress ability.

How does Chomp work?

Xorcist adds a separate charge bar above your main fishing progress bar. It fills as you keep catching fish, and 25% charge is the threshold for activating Chomp.

At that threshold, press RMB to trigger the action. Chomp quickly advances your main progress bar, potentially taking it to 50% or higher.

Ken's unlock route rewards preparation: bring an Electric setup for the Minnows, secure Shiny for the Musical Crab, use a Hexed setup for the Ancient Megalodon, and save Duskwire for the Apex objective. For another collection goal after Xorcist, follow the Omniscient Spinecaster Rod unlock guide.
