Runaways codes for August 2026 | Eurogamer.net

Runaways on Roblox treats class selection as a genuine build decision, not just a cosmetic choice. The class you pick determines your starting weapons, backpack size, and permanent stat modifiers for the entire session. Get it wrong and you're escaping the police with the wrong tools. Get it right and you're outrunning cops while carrying more loot than anyone else on the server.

Complete list of all Runaways classes

There are 12 classes in total, ranging from the free Basic class all the way up to the premium Ex-Military option. Most are purchased with Credz, the in-game currency earned through quests, daily play, and code redemptions. Two classes (Smuggler and Ex-Military) cost Robux instead.

How to unlock classes in Runaways

The unlock process is straightforward. Head into the game, find the CLASSES button on the left-side menu, and browse the available options. Each class shows its cost upfront. When you have enough Credz, hit the purple purchase button and the class is yours.

Switching between unlocked classes is just as simple: return to the Classes menu at any point and select whichever one fits the situation. Your loadout and stat bonuses update immediately.

How do you earn Credz fast?

Credz come from three main sources: completing in-game quests, logging in daily, and redeeming active codes. Codes are the fastest way to build a Credz stack early on, especially when you're targeting a class like Bounty Hunter at 160,000 Credz or Juggernaut at 450,000. Check out the latest Runaways codes for free Credz and weapons to speed up that grind significantly.

warning
The Smuggler and Ex-Military classes cost Robux rather than Credz. If you're grinding for free, focus on Credz-based classes first.

What's the best class for each playstyle?

The answer depends entirely on what you're trying to do in a given session.

Speed runners should look at Scout (18,000 Credz) early on for that +10% Run Speed bonus, then upgrade to Bounty Hunter (160,000 Credz) once they can afford it. Bounty Hunter stacks +20% Run Speed with +10% Melee Strength, making it the strongest all-around class for players who want to stay mobile without sacrificing combat ability.

Combat-focused players have two real options. Breacher at 280,000 Credz brings a Shotgun, C4, and a massive +40% Melee Strength bonus, which is excellent for aggressive plays. Juggernaut doubles your health pool with a +100% Health bonus and hands you a Minigun, but the -20% Run Speed penalty means you're trading escape potential for raw staying power.

Survivability builds benefit most from Medic (60,000 Credz), which gives +20% Health alongside two Medic Bags and Light Armor. Contractor (45,000 Credz) is a cheaper middle ground with +5% Health and a Pistol for ranged options.

Loot-focused players might actually want Old CEO (33,000 Credz). The starting loadout is pure high-value jewelry: a Gold Ruby Necklace, Diamond, Gold Tiara, and Diamond Ring. The stat penalties hurt, but you're starting each session with sellable items already in hand.

Which classes should you prioritize unlocking first?

For new players starting from scratch, a sensible unlock path looks like this:

  • Basic is your starting point with no bonuses, but it costs nothing.
  • Brawler (10,000 Credz) is the first meaningful upgrade for melee-focused play.
  • Scout (18,000 Credz) is worth grabbing early if you prioritize speed over health.
  • Contractor (45,000 Credz) gives a balanced stat spread and a Pistol, making it a solid mid-game choice.
  • Bounty Hunter (160,000 Credz) is the long-term target for most playstyles.

Skip Old CEO unless you specifically want the jewelry loadout for selling. The stat penalties make it a niche pick.
