Sailor Piece Guide: How to Get Demon King Fighting Style

The Demon King Fighting Style is the most powerful combat option in Sailor Piece right now, and it earns that reputation with moves that hit for literal billions of damage. Getting there takes real commitment: multiple quest steps, a brutal item grind, and more than a few runs against a boss that does not go easy on you. This guide breaks down every requirement and step so you know exactly what you are getting into before you start.

How to start the Demon King unlock process

Before any boss fights or item drops come into play, you need to complete a short quest that gates the entire unlock chain. Head to Academy Island and find the NPC on the opposite side of the beach from the Teleportation Portal. Talking to them kicks off the Demonite Core Quest.

The quest asks you to collect two Demonite Fragments. The first is sitting on a branch of a tree near the Portal, and the second is on the rooftop of a nearby castle, specifically at the base of one of its towers. Both fragments are dark red and should stand out once you know what to look for. Return to the NPC after collecting both to complete the quest.

How to farm Calamity Seals efficiently

Once the quest is done, you need Calamity Seals to actually spawn the Demon King Boss. These drop randomly from normal enemies anywhere in the game, but the density of enemies at Lawless Island makes it the recommended farming spot according to the source guide. There is no guaranteed drop rate listed for seals, so expect this to take a while.

Spending those seals at the outer wall entrance of Academy Island spawns the boss. You can fight him at four different difficulty tiers, costing between 1 and 4 Calamity Seals per attempt. Higher difficulties presumably improve your odds on the rarer drops, though the exact rates per tier are not specified in available sources.

What items do you need to unlock the Demon King Fighting Style?

This is where the grind gets serious. Every item on the list below comes exclusively from the Demon King Boss, which means you will be repeating that fight many, many times. Here is the full requirement list:

Once every item is in hand, you buy the fighting style from the NPC sitting on top of the castle at Academy Island.

How hard is it to get the Demon King Title?

The Demon King Title is the single hardest item to obtain on the list. It drops as a random reward from the boss with a rate between 1% and 1.5% depending on which difficulty you choose. That is a rough number to stare at.

The saving grace is a pity system: after defeating the Demon King Boss exactly 115 times, the title is guaranteed regardless of RNG. That sounds like a lot, but it is a fixed ceiling rather than pure luck. Plan your seal farming around this number and you will not get blindsided.

Beyond the style unlock, the title itself is worth pursuing on its own merits. Equipping it gives a +60% damage bonus, which is enormous and useful regardless of which fighting style you run.

Demon King Fighting Style moves explained

All damage values below reflect the fully upgraded version of the style, as documented in the source material. Raw numbers at lower upgrade levels will be lower.

Z Move

The character performs a series of circular slashes in a radial area, dealing a total of 3.4 billion damage to anyone caught inside the radius.

X Move

The character launches into the air, charges up a laser beam, and fires it for 5 billion damage on a direct hit.

C Move

A burst of AOE melee-range explosions fires off in sequence. If every explosion connects, the total damage reaches 10 billion.

V Move

After a cutscene, the character vanishes briefly before calling down a meteor that crashes for 20 billion damage in a large area.

F Move (unlocked automatically)

The most extreme option in the kit. Following another cutscene, the character detonates Earth itself for 50 billion damage.

Each basic M1 attack deals approximately 1.2 billion damage at full upgrade, so even your standard combo hits are not trivial.

What passives does the Demon King Fighting Style give?

At maximum blessing level, the style adds three passive bonuses on top of its active moves:

  • +25% Damage
  • +5% Crit Chance
  • +8% Crit Damage

Combined with the Demon King Title's +60% damage, the total offensive boost you can stack is substantial. The crit bonuses scale well if you are building around damage output rather than survivability.

Is the Demon King Fighting Style worth the grind?

After testing the numbers, the honest answer is yes, but only if you are prepared for the title drop to be your bottleneck. The 1% to 1.5% drop rate with a 115-fight pity is manageable with consistent farming at the higher difficulty tiers to maximize seal efficiency per run. The style's damage output at full upgrade, particularly the F Move's 50 billion hit, puts it in a different category from other options currently in Sailor Piece.
