Slayers 2's Underwater Rocks quest is one of the more disorienting tasks on the path to Water Breathing, mostly because the crystal locations randomize every run and the entrance to the quest itself is hidden behind a bush. Once you know where to look, though, the whole thing moves quickly. Here's everything you need to collect all 5 sea crystals without drowning and without wasting a run.

How do you start the Underwater Rocks quest in Slayers 2?

The quest begins with NPC Urokodaki, the Water Breathing Trainer, who is not exactly standing in plain sight. From your starting spawn in the main town, open the map and navigate to the Bamboo Grove in the top right corner of the screen.

Once you arrive, look for a house sitting on a small island surrounded by water, bridges, and waterfalls. That's your landmark. Stand in front of the house and look to the left of the main bridge leading up to it. You'll see a cluster of bushes next to some pink flowers. The entrance is there.

Duck into the hidden tunnel beneath the foliage and follow it forward. The passage is short enough that your breath meter won't become a problem here. At the end, climb the ladder and you'll enter the room where Urokodaki waits. Talk to him to officially activate the quest.

How do you find all the sea crystals in the Underwater Rocks quest?

Once the quest is active, head back out through the tunnel to the riverbed area in front of the house. Your objective is to collect 5 glowing blue sea crystals scattered across the riverbed. The positions randomize each session, so there's no fixed map you can memorize, but the spawn rules are consistent: the crystals always appear near the surface, sitting on rock beds or elevated terrain. They never sink to the deepest parts of the water.

Each crystal emits a shimmery blue glow that's visible even during nighttime in-game, so scanning the riverbed is straightforward once you're in the water.

Fastest way to collect all 5

The most efficient approach is to collect one crystal per dive and then reset your character immediately after. Here's why this works so well:

  • Resetting sends you straight back to your Bamboo Grove Sanctuary spawn
  • Your crystal progress carries over through resets
  • You never have to manage oxygen across a long multi-crystal dive
  • Each dive is short, focused, and low-risk
MethodCrystals per diveRisk of drowningTime efficiency
Single-crystal reset1Very lowHigh
Multi-crystal dive2-5Moderate to highLow

Trying to grab all 5 in one run is possible but genuinely not worth it. The oxygen management stress and the risk of a wasted dive add up fast. One crystal, reset, repeat is the play.

What happens after you collect all 5 sea crystals?

Once all 5 crystals are in hand, return to Urokodaki through the same tunnel entrance near the pink flowers. Handing in the quest moves you forward in the Water Breathing style questline. The Underwater Rocks quest is one of several training tasks you'll complete before Urokodaki considers you ready, so don't expect to unlock the style immediately after this step.

For the full requirements and everything that comes before and after this quest, the Water Breathing unlock guide breaks down every step including the level, Wen cost, and Demon Horn requirements.

Slayers 2 has a lot of quests that follow this same pattern of hidden NPCs and randomized collectibles, so building good habits early pays off. For more quests, items, and secrets across the game, browse the full Slayers 2 strategy guides collection on Roblox.
