Type Soul's Compensation Shop exists because the developers removed certain content from the game and needed a way to refund players fairly. Instead of handing out direct replacements, they created a dedicated shop run by an NPC named Machiru, stocked with some of the most sought-after items in the game. The catch is that most players have no idea where to find it.
Where is the Compensation Shop in Type Soul?
The shop is on the south side of Karakura Town, and getting there takes about 30 seconds once you know the route. Cross the bridge heading south, and when you reach the other side, move through the center of the area. At the end of the road, take a left. You'll arrive at a basketball court with several benches lined up on the left side.
Machiru sits on one of those benches. He has blue hair, which makes him easy to spot once you're at the right court. Interact with him to open the shop menu.

What items are in the Compensation Shop?
The shop stocks 24 items ranging from basic rerolls all the way up to Yhwach's Blood at 100 Tokens. Here's the full list:
Token amounts are fixed based on what content you previously owned. You cannot grind Tokens through regular gameplay. Spend them carefully because once they're gone, that's it unless more content gets removed and refunded.
How do you earn Tokens for the Compensation Shop?
Tokens aren't farmed. They're issued automatically as refunds when the developers remove content you previously owned. The amount you receive depends entirely on what was in your account at the time of removal.
Here's the full breakdown of removed content and their corresponding refunds:
Notably, True Release owners received the largest Token payout at 125 Tokens, which is enough to buy Yhwach's Blood and still have 25 Tokens left over. Devil-Trigger owners got a smaller payout of 25 Tokens plus a Dimensional Shard. Vow and Spooky Skin removals were handled differently, issuing Locked Rerolls rather than Tokens.
If you owned Vows or Spooky Skins, your compensation came as Locked Rerolls, not Tokens. Those Locked Rerolls cannot be spent at the Compensation Shop, so don't expect to see a Token balance from those removals.
What should you spend your Tokens on?
This depends entirely on your progression stage and build path. A few items stand out as high-value pickups based on their general utility across builds:
- Skill-box Chooser (8 Tokens) is one of the most efficient purchases if you're still filling out your skill slots. Getting to choose your skill rather than rolling randomly is a significant time saver.
- Hogyoku Fragment (15 Tokens) is relevant if you're working toward Soul Society progression. Check out the complete Hogyoku Fragment location guide for context on how these fit into broader progression systems in Roblox Bleach-style games.
- True Hogyoku (40 Tokens) is a major investment but one of the more powerful items in the shop if your build calls for it.
- Yhwach's Blood (100 Tokens) is the premium item. Only players who received a True Release refund will have enough Tokens to buy it outright.
For players who enjoy other progression-heavy adventure games on Roblox, the Token economy here is similar to other limited-currency shops where patience and prioritization matter more than volume.
The Compensation Shop is not a rotating shop. All items listed above are available simultaneously. You don't need to check back daily for specific stock.
