The Electrokinesis Testing puzzle in CONTROL Resonant is one of the few puzzles in the game that you cannot skip. Tucked inside the testing wing of The Oldest House while exploring with Zoe, it blocks your progress completely until you crack all three patterns. The good news: once you understand what the televisions are actually showing you, the whole thing takes under two minutes.
How does the Electrokinesis puzzle work?
Before you reach the testing room itself, there's a small setup step. Hit the single active Power Core sitting next to the breaker box to transfer the current to Dylan's weapon, then carry it up to the second floor. In the room with multiple Power Cores, strike the one beside the door to unlock access to the electrokinesis testing area.
Once you enter and hit any Power Core on either side of the room, the doors lock behind you. You're now in the puzzle proper.
The mechanic is straightforward: the televisions mounted above the active Power Cores display a pattern, and your job is to recreate that pattern by striking the correct nodes on the wall. The nodes are arranged in a grid, so think of them in terms of rows and columns.
What are the three puzzle patterns?
There are three sequential tests, each replacing the last once you input the correct node combination.

Test 1: Triangle
For the first pattern, activate the top left, top right, and bottom middle nodes. These three points form a triangle shape across the grid. Getting this right changes all the screens to show the next pattern.
Test 2: Square
The second pattern is a square. Deactivate the bottom middle node you used in the triangle, then power up the bottom left and bottom right corners. You should now have all four corners active: top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right. The screens will update again once this is correct.
Test 3: Cross
The final test asks for a cross shape. Activate every node in the middle column and every node in the middle row. When the cross is complete, all screens turn green and the room unlocks.
What happens after you solve the puzzle?
With the room open, grab power from two of the cores and carry them back down to the breaker room. Activating the breaker restores power to the area, unlocks the "Perfect" Dr. Darling film, and triggers a message from the doctor on the screen to your left.
Before heading out, check the second floor. There's a Power Upgrade chest hidden in one of the dark offices up there. Look for a solid red light to locate it without wandering every room. Several collectible files are also scattered through the side offices around the main room.
When you're ready to move on, head upstairs and exit through the door next to the "High Risk Chamber" sign.
