Full Fortnite x Star Wars May 2026 Roadmap

Epic Games kicked off the Fortnite Star Wars 2026 event on April 30, and it runs all the way through May 26. That's nearly a full month of content spanning Creative mode launches, Item Shop drops, a LEGO Fortnite update, and even a live Watch Party tied to the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu film. Ten distinct events are on the schedule, and each one has its own date, format, and in some cases its own island code.

What's actually in the Fortnite Star Wars 2026 event?

Before getting into the specifics, there's one thing worth clarifying up front: this is not a Battle Royale takeover. According to the official Epic Games roadmap, the Star Wars collab this year lives almost entirely inside Creative mode and the Item Shop. There are no Lightsabers dropping into Battle Royale matches, and no Star Wars-themed points of interest replacing the regular map. The skins you buy can be worn in BR, but the dedicated game modes are Creative-only.

That's a step back from 2025, when a Star Wars mini-season took over the BR scene with persistent POIs. This year the scope is narrower, but the Creative content is genuinely varied.

How do you get the free Carbonite Fishstick Back Bling?

The event started on April 30 with a free cosmetic reward. To claim the Carbonite Fishstick Back Bling, you need to connect your MyDisney account to your Epic Games account. No purchase required. If you haven't done this yet, the link is available through the Epic Games account settings portal.

What are the three new Star Wars Creative modes?

All three launched on May 1 and each targets a different playstyle.

Galactic Siege (island code: 5003-9856-3648)

This is the one that'll get the most play. According to the Epic Games roadmap, Galactic Siege features large-scale 10v10 class-based PvP battles set across iconic Star Wars planets. The comparison to Star Wars: Battlefront is hard to avoid, and Epic's own trailer leans into that aesthetic. If you want team-based combat with a Star Wars skin on top, this is your mode.

Escape Vader 4-player co-op

Escape Vader (island code: 7285-4185-5428)

Escape Vader is a 4-player co-op experience built around stealth and survival. The premise is straightforward: hide, run, and avoid Darth Vader. It reads like a horror-adjacent co-op mode, which is a different tone than the rest of the event content.

Droid Tycoon (island code: 7865-8305-9184)

Droid Tycoon sits at the other end of the spectrum. You build and customize droids using authentic Star Wars blueprints, manage workshop and factory systems, and unlock rare components through special missions. It's a management and crafting mode, closer to an idle builder than a shooter.

What's coming to LEGO Fortnite on May 14?

The LEGO Fortnite Odyssey update on May 14 brings several additions tied to Star Wars. The official roadmap lists the Hover Brick as a new item, along with hover vehicles, Mando and Grogu as characters, and new Star Wars enemies to fight. This is a separate game mode from Battle Royale and Creative, so it won't affect your regular matches.

What is the Mandalorian and Grogu Watch Party?

On May 19 at 10 a.m. ET, Epic is hosting a Watch Party island tied to Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, which releases in theaters on May 22. The event includes a special message from director Jon Favreau and a 10-minute preview of the film. Two days later on May 21, the Mandalorian Pen & Ink skin drops in the Item Shop, featuring BDX droids as sidekicks.

The event wraps on May 26 with a live Q&A in the island's amphitheater, where Jon Favreau will answer community questions about the film and the Watch Party island itself.

Is there any Star Wars content in Battle Royale?

No, and that's the most important thing to set expectations around. The only Star Wars content that crosses into Battle Royale modes is cosmetic. The Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano skins from the Clone Wars Item Shop drop on May 1, plus the Mandalorian Pen & Ink set on May 21, can all be equipped in BR. But there are no Star Wars weapons, no themed map changes, and no event-specific BR mechanics tied to the collab this year.

For players who want the full experience, the action is in Creative and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey.
