Everything you need to build Linnea from zero
Linnea is Genshin Impact's newest Geo 5-star character introduced in Version 6.5, and getting her battle-ready requires grinding across Nod-Krai, Mondstadt's new sub-regions, and a weekly boss domain. The material list is long but manageable if you plan your Resin spending properly. This guide breaks down every ascension, talent, and signature weapon material you need, where to find each one, and the most efficient weekly farming schedule to follow.

Linnea character overview
What are all of Linnea's total materials?
Taking Linnea to Level 90 with all three talents maxed at Level 10 requires a substantial material investment across ascension and talent categories. Here's the complete breakdown:
Ascension materials (Level 90)
Talent materials (all three talents to Level 10)
Combined, the full build to Level 90 with triple-crowned talents costs approximately 7 million Mora and around 400 Hero's Wit. That's a significant resource drain, so budget your Resin accordingly.
Where to get each Linnea material
Etherwing Moth (local specialty)
Etherwing Moth is Linnea's local specialty, a crystalfly-like critter introduced in Version 6.5. The spawn locations are split between two areas: 29 appear in the new Mondstadt region around Dornman Port, while the majority (51 total) cluster at the Temple of Space. You unlock the Temple of Space by starting the World Quest "A Long Day in the Mountain," which begins at an NPC in Dornman Port.
This is a new 6.5 material, so you can't farm it before the patch goes live. Once the update drops, prioritize these immediately. Local specialties respawn every 48 hours, so plan your collection runs accordingly.
Warrant enemy drops (Fatui Oprichniki)
The Tattered Warrant, Immaculate Warrant, and Frost-Etched Warrant all drop from Fatui Oprichniki soldiers scattered across Nod-Krai. The Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau has the highest concentration of these enemies. You can also track their locations through the Adventurer's Handbook (Paimon Menu > Adventurer's Handbook), though not every spawn point will appear there.
These warrants are needed for both ascension and talents, making them the single highest-priority prefarm target. Elite enemies respawn after each daily server reset.
Plume of the Fallen Watcher (world boss)
This ascension boss material drops from the Watcher: Fallen Vigil, a new field boss located northwest of the Old Sanatorium Site in Dornman Port. You need 46 of these for full ascension to Level 90. Like the Etherwing Moth, this boss is locked behind the 6.5 update.
Track it through the Adventurer's Handbook after unlocking the relevant map area.
Vagrancy talent books
Linnea's talent books are the Vagrancy series (Teachings, Guide, Philosophies). These come from the Lightless Capital Domain of Mastery: Overturned Roots, located north of the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop in Nod-Krai. The domain is available on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This is one of the best places to spend Resin before Linnea's banner, since the domain is already accessible and the books stack up quickly.
Elixir of the Heretic (weekly boss)
Linnea's weekly boss material is the Elixir of the Heretic, dropped by The Doctor (Dottore) trounce domain at the Special Territory Research Institute in the uppermost part of Nod-Krai. The domain costs 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly boss clears, and 60 Resin after that. Weekly rewards reset every Monday at 04:00 server time.
You need 18 total for 10/10/10 talents. Assuming one drop per week, that's 18 weeks of consistent clears at minimum. Dream Solvent conversions from other weekly bosses can shorten this.
Prithiva Topaz gems
As a Geo character, Linnea uses Prithiva Topaz for ascension. These drop from various Geo-aspected world bosses including the Geo Hypostasis, Primo Geovishap, Radiant Moongecko, and the Watcher: Fallen Vigil itself. You can also convert other gem types at the Alchemy Bench using Dust of Azoth.
What is the recommended leveling priority for Linnea?
The optimal leveling priority for Linnea is:
- Character Level to 90 first, since her Lunar-Crystallize damage scales directly with level
- Elemental Skill to Level 10, as this is her primary damage ability
- Elemental Burst to Level 10 for maximum healing output (Level 8 or 9 is acceptable if materials are tight)
- Normal Attack can stay at Level 1 unless you plan to use her on-field
For most players, skipping Normal Attack entirely saves a significant amount of Warrant materials and Mora.
What is the best weekly farming schedule?
With limited Resin each day, spreading your grind across the week prevents bottlenecks. Here's a practical schedule that balances domain availability with daily respawns:
Free days once ascension is complete are best spent on artifacts, Mora, or EXP books.
Linnea's signature weapon: Golden Frostbound Oath materials
If you're planning to build the Golden Frostbound Oath alongside Linnea, expect a separate material grind. The weapon uses Long Night Flint ascension materials from the Lost Mooncourt Domain of Forgery: Prayers Sung, located south of the Light-Bathed Platform at Hiisi Island. This domain is open on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
The weapon enhancement materials (Faded, Fractured, and Jeweled Flaming Hilts) drop from Domain Keepers in the Temple of Space area, which also requires completing the Dornman Port World Quest to unlock.
Signature weapon total materials
Note that the weapon also shares the Warrant enemy drops with Linnea's character build, so account for that overlap when planning your total farming load.
What can you prefarm before Version 6.5 launches?
Not everything is locked behind the new content. Here's what you can stockpile right now:
- Warrant drops (Tattered, Immaculate, Frost-Etched) from Fatui Oprichniki in Nod-Krai
- Vagrancy talent books from the Lightless Capital domain on Wed/Sat/Sun
- Prithiva Topaz gems from existing Geo world bosses or via Dust of Azoth conversion
- Elixir of the Heretic from The Doctor weekly boss
- Mora and Hero's Wit from Ley Lines and daily play
What you cannot prefarm:
- Etherwing Moth (requires the new 6.5 area)
- Plume of the Fallen Watcher (requires the new Watcher: Fallen Vigil boss)
The most efficient pre-launch priority order is: Warrant enemy drops first, then Vagrancy talent books, Prithiva Topaz, Elixir of the Heretic, and finally Mora and EXP books. Focus on what's already accessible so you can immediately tackle the new 6.5 materials once the patch drops.
