In Neverness to Everness, the Bond system tracks your affinity with each character in your roster. Raise it high enough and you unlock new interactions, cosmetic rewards, currency drops, and character-specific quests that flesh out their backstory. It's one of the more rewarding side systems in the game, and the characters you invest in here feel genuinely different from the ones you ignore.
How to increase Bond fast
Before spending a single gift, there's one thing you should do first. Leveling Esper Zero's life skill called Five-Star Paragon before gifting anyone is the single highest-value action you can take early in the game. This skill adds a percentage bonus to all gift points earned for characters at or below a certain Bond level, scaling across five tiers. Each tier unlocks a 5% bonus to Affection gained from gifts, so maxing it out gives you a meaningful edge across your entire roster without spending extra resources.
Skip this step and you're essentially leaving free points on the table every time you gift.
Giving gifts daily
Gifts are the fastest and most reliable source of Bond EXP. Open your phone, navigate to the Bond section, select a character, and choose from their available gift list. Each character has preferred items that yield 100 points per gift, and tapping any item shows you exactly where to acquire it.
Two hard limits apply here:
- You can give a maximum of 10 gifts total per day across all characters.
- You can only give 3 gifts to the same character in a single day.
This means spreading gifts across multiple characters is both required and efficient. Don't try to dump everything into one character.

Gift selection and point values
The best gift for sustainable weekly farming is the Fluffy Cloud, obtained from the Compressed Boom Boom Cloud. Each character treats it as a base reward of 400 points, and you can stock up on it weekly. Increasing your property comfort level by furnishing your house with decorations and collectibles also speeds up how many Fluffy Clouds you can collect.
For daily gifting on a budget, the cost-effective approach is to buy each character's low-cost favorite gifts three times a day rather than blowing Fons on expensive 100+ point items. Rarity does not determine how many points a gift gives, so cheaper favorites are just as efficient.
Recommended daily gifts by character
Fadia's favorite gift, Classic Trio, costs 660 per purchase. If you're tight on Fons, prioritize cheaper characters first and rotate Fadia in when your economy allows.
Text messages with heart icons
Characters will occasionally send you messages through the in-game phone. Not every message rewards Bond EXP, so look specifically for ones with a heart icon at the top. Responding to those triggers a small interaction, sometimes a brief scene or mini-event with that character. Replying to Mint about trying new ice cream flavors, for example, led directly into a short bond moment with her.
These are easy points that most players miss simply by not checking their messages.
Bond quests
Each character has dedicated story quests tied to their Bond level. These appear in the Bond section and usually activate by talking to the character when they're present in the city. Completing them rewards Bond EXP and deepens their lore, making them worth doing for story reasons alone, not just the points.

Special interactions and rides
As your Bond level climbs, new interaction options unlock. These include holding hands, hugging, taking photos together, and playing rock, paper, scissors. You can also invite characters for rides around the city by selecting them in the Bond menu and tapping Ride in the bottom-left corner.
One thing to keep in mind: each interaction type only gives Affection points the first time you do it. Repeating the same interaction won't generate additional points, so work through new ones as they unlock rather than cycling the same action.
Inviting characters to stay at your house also generates Affection points, but it takes more time than gifting. Use this method when you're close to a Bond level threshold and just need a small top-up.

What rewards do you get for raising Bond levels?
The Bond system rewards you across several categories as you hit new levels:
- Additional stats: Maxing a character's Bond unlocks percentage-based stat bonuses, usually tied to that character's primary damage or support stat. These are meaningful upgrades if you're pushing harder content.
- Currency: Annulith, Beetle Coins, and Dreamless Seeds drop at various Bond level milestones.
- Outfits: Characters who can be invited to your property unlock their casual attire at Bond level 10, which you can equip on them while out in the field.
- Profile cosmetics: Frames, Namecards, and Stickers unlock at higher levels, letting you show off your dedication to specific characters.
- Character interactions: New physical interactions and activities unlock as Bond increases, including the ride and house visit options.
How does the daily limit affect your strategy?
With a cap of 10 gifts per day and a 3-per-character limit, the most efficient approach is to spread gifts across at least 4 characters daily. If you're prioritizing specific characters for their stat bonuses, give them their 3 gifts first, then fill the remaining 7 slots across whoever else you're working on.
The weekly Fluffy Cloud supply adds a burst option on top of your daily routine. Plan around your reset timing so you're never sitting on unclaimed Fluffy Clouds past the weekly cap.
For players still working through early progression, the guide on ascending characters and raising Hunter Rank pairs well with Bond farming since higher Hunter Rank often unlocks more character access.
What's the fastest Bond method for new players?
For anyone just starting out, the priority order looks like this:
- Level Esper Zero's Five-Star Paragon before gifting anyone.
- Give each target character their 3 low-cost favorite gifts every day.
- Collect and use Fluffy Clouds weekly from the Compressed Boom Boom Cloud.
- Respond to every heart-icon text message.
- Complete Bond quests as they unlock.
- Use interactions and rides to close small gaps when you're close to a level threshold.
Stay consistent with the daily gift routine and the Bond levels stack up faster than they look. The system rewards patience and daily check-ins more than any single burst action.
