Palworld 1.0 Guide: All New Pals With Their Full Stats And Work Suitabilities

Aegidron is one of the standout additions in Palworld 1.0, and it earns that reputation fast. This dragon-type alpha boss hits hard, takes a beating, and brings one of the most useful party-wide defensive effects in the game. Getting it on your team is absolutely worth the effort, and this guide covers everything you need to know.

Where to find Aegidron in Palworld

Aegidron does not roam freely in the open world. It has a fixed spawn location, so you need to know exactly where to look.

Head to the World Tree area and find the large door. Aegidron spawns to the left of that door. Drop off the cliff and move toward the body of water in that direction. Once you get close enough, the boss encounter triggers automatically.

tip
Bring Leaf-type and Ice-type Pals to this fight. Aegidron is weak to both, which makes chipping down its health significantly faster.

The goal before throwing a capture sphere is to lower Aegidron's health enough to raise your catch rate. Once it's weakened, use a Sol Sphere to capture it.

How to breed Aegidron

If you already have one Aegidron and want another, or you want to pass down passive skills through breeding, here are the confirmed breeding combinations:

Breeding Aegidron with Lyleen Noct may also produce one, though this combination has not been fully verified yet.

What are Aegidron's active skills?

Aegidron has a solid move pool that scales well as you level it up. Here's the full list of active skills and when they unlock:

  • Level 1: Stone Blast
  • Level 7: Blast Cannon
  • Level 15: Rockburst
  • Level 22: Charge Cannon
  • Level 30: Sand Twister
  • Level 40: Rocky Impact
  • Level 50: Dragon Meteor
  • Level 70: Missile Burst

The top-end moves are what make it worth investing in. Missile Burst at level 70 is the damage ceiling, and Dragon Meteor at level 50 pairs well with it for consistent output.

What makes Aegidron's partner skill so strong?

Aegidron's partner skill is called Indestructible Fortress, and it's one of the best passive party bonuses available. While Aegidron is in your party:

  • All other Pals take 60% less damage from explosions
  • All other Pals are immune to Stun
  • Aegidron itself has boosted Defense and immunity to Knockdowns

That explosion resistance alone changes how your whole party survives endgame encounters. Pair that with the stun immunity and you have a Pal that lets the rest of your team fight without interruption.

For players pushing into the toughest content after the Palworld 1.0 major changes and additions, having that kind of team-wide protection makes a real difference in how fights play out.

What's the best Aegidron build?

For active skills, the recommended loadout focuses on the three highest-tier moves:

  • Missile Burst
  • Dragon Meteor
  • Rocky Impact

You need Aegidron to reach level 70 to unlock all three, but the investment pays off. After testing this setup against endgame content, the combination of Dragon Meteor's burst and Missile Burst's sustained output covers most situations well.

For passive skills, Heavyweight is the strongest option currently available. If you managed to hatch or breed an Aegidron with a Mutation passive from the new breeding system, that can also work depending on which mutation you land.

Aegidron at level 8 Mining

Should you use Aegidron at base or in your party?

The honest answer is that Aegidron is more valuable in your party than at your base, despite the level 8 Mining. The Indestructible Fortress partner skill is too impactful to bench. Level 8 Mining is strong, but other Pals can fill that role. No other Pal replicates the 60% explosion damage reduction and stun immunity for your full team.

That said, if you breed a second Aegidron, assigning one to your base and keeping one in your party is the ideal setup.
